I am starting to get nervous now because our interview is on Thursday, May 11th, but my biometrics were just done on 04/05/06, so I hope that it was enough time to get everything approved and that I don't have to wait on a pending name check or anything?!

08/15/06: Email: 'Welcome to America' letter mailed (Day 151)!!!!

08/17/06: Email: I-485 approved & GC ordered

08/19/06: 'Welcome to America' letter rec'd

08/22/06: Email: Notice of approval mailed

08/25/06: GC Finally Received!!

Relax - its not that hard. Just review the I485 (especially all those strange questions) the day before and you will be fine. (And refresh your memory for all the names of relatives (brothers, sisters, parents etc,); the date of birth etc.; dates of entry, marriage and your visits to meet each other.

We had our biometrics done the same day as the interview and it took about 8 weeks to get the approval - so don't worry too much about that either. Good Luck

10.29.2009......Successful interview!

2009: Conditional GC Expired and Husband has been having affairs since 2008 in China. Can't file for ROC since he got laid off. He came to Jakarta to live with me and my parents. He got a new job. Life resume to normal or so I thought.
March 2010: Officially separated after yet more affairs exposed just a day after my birthday!

February 2011: Officially divorced.
June 18, 2011: He married the girl he had the last affair with.

August 2014: I am engaged with my real soulmate. Not an American.
