Sarah is leaving her account open for many reasons, but we did the conversion math, and it's better (at least for us) for her to put the money in her account and just withdraw it at an ATM over here...it saves as there's no commission and she gets bank rate. Plus we figure when we go back on holiday it'd be easier to have an account there to use instead...

PLUS! What we're doing for the baby, and wedding stuff is asking instead of gifts to ask people to deposit money into her account...apparently they did this for a few of her friends' hen do's and it worked out well!

I'd say if they won't charge you for keeping an account with a small balance, leave it open as it can't hurt anything...but then again if they're going to charge you a service fee each month, i'd say close it.

The chocolates should be fine, but you might want to check on the wine...you may not be able to bring it over without paying Duty on it...

OH yeh by the way congrats on the baby!!! I wasn't sure if you were plaing one at first or it already happened but now i see congrats are inoder yey.

no natwest wont charge me I dont think i am entitled to the 3k tax free anymore though so the isa may have to go but i wont be allowed to wthdraw commission free i dont think and there are not many atms around that take my card to knowledge.

You use Natwest? Sarah gets her money out at Chase. They don't charge a service fee on this side...I don't know if Chase is out in California but I believe WaMu is and they're an affiliate of Chase.

Mastero or how ever you spell it. Not a switch persay it's the 100 one only garentees up to that much. I did have shifty solo though

I just got the actual date that my babe is arriving on her flight and it is the 18th. I am excited to finally be with her again after so long apart. I also got with the family and am now somewhat in the loop of wedding plans. We are now going to have a quick little civil ceremony to get the AOS going. Then they are going to have the larger wedding at leisure and be able to coordinate for the best time for all family to attend. The catholic priest said no prob on me being non Catholic but he does want me to come in for a chat a couple times. (That has me worried) We are going to be able to have a honeymoon somewhat after the civil ceremony. (Thank God) So in the next few weeks I will be happily married.

The batchelor party is somehow now becoming a huge undertaking. It seems all the people I know are married and are using this as a reason to have a lot of fun and get away. The wives are saying fine but they want to take my babe and have their own party. My babe knows none of them so this may get interesting. I told her about what they want and she said no problem she will do what they want. Am sure the married guys will give in and tone it down but so far neither side is backing down. Please say a pray for me and my babe.

I just wanted to say good luck and God bless on the interview. I will say a special prayer for y'all. I also am sure that it will go fine and no need for the extra's but it can never hurt I think.

I think i get in at 8 in the evening, so will prob be different times but congrats to you both at being reunihted.
