Thank you for all the wonderful information on Visa Journey. I filed the I-130 in July using Catholic Social Services. They do not charge much and the translations for the birth and marriage certificates were included. I did not have much time and it was worth it.

Since it took forever to receive NAO-2 I had plenty of time to read everything on VJ. I decided to go it alone for the NVC process. Everything was perfect except for the RFE hiccup. Asking for something they already had and was not lost. I pleaded my case 4 times and got things moving again. The supervisor I spoke even returned my call the same evening I talked with him. I knew with the knowledge I learned here that I was correct. With the RFE, case complete in 2 weeks.

Now I wait for the interview date. I hope it will be assigned by 5/23 because I am leaving to see my husband for 2 months and we will be in the jungle with no communication to the outside world. I have a backup plan for someone to come find us and tell us when the interview is sceduled.

Thank you again to all of you. If anyone is sceptical about doing it yourself, do not be afraid. Be sure to read all the posts even if you think it does not apply to you. And read them many, many times. I did not join until April and did not post much, but I followed all your journeys since July and am very happy for all your successes.
