I like Bollywood, but I love Kollywood!!! It's fun watching a movie, seeing the gaps in the story and trying to figure out what got censored... :P

I read that there is a Nepali movie coming out soon 'Kagbeni' where the stars will actually kiss - should be interesting to see the controversy.

From the ones I have seen, I have loved some and hated some.

I know they mostly have the typical love triangles and they are very loooong, but still I like some. My husband doesn't love them because the story lines get on his nerves, but still for India's sake he will watch them. :P

My favorites aren't new ones because I haven't really seen many new ones.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham is my favorite because I had bought it while still apart from Sujeet and me and my friends watched it, our first bollywood movie ever! And we all loved it. We didn't know what to expect and we all shed some tears, which is what they want you to do! They almost all are(or try to be) tear jerkers and for me it does make me cry. :whistle: So it has a special memory for me. I also like the other typical hits Kuch Kuch Hota Hai & Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. I also saw and liked Lagaan.

I did not like Om Shanti Om which is probably the most recent movie we tried. It went from being a comedy(and I use that term loosely!) at the beginning to being a weird tragedy and that just didn't flow for me.

I've enjoyed the ones I've rented, for the most part. I love when they break out into song and dance for no apparent reason. LOL

Yes, "bohut achchha dance hai" (dances are great).

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

my favorite is Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham...........

At our wedding, I got my sister, cousin and 2 friends to do a bollywood style dance to part of Bole Chudiyan at the reception. hehe. It was great!! Not the whole song b/c of how long it is, but the first 75% probably. I choreographed it, taking moves from the movie and moves from a Bhangra excercise video series. I know maybe those are 2 different dance styles but it was really fun. I should add that all of them(and me) grew up taking dance lessons so they weren't non-dancers. I still wish I could get the video of the dance and put it online, but we haven't done that yet even after almost 4 years!

My Dad loves bollywood movies because he can doze off after a while & when he wakes up again, he is still able to catch the ending.

Me, I do not have the patience for it. 3 hrs is too long.
