I mean that the scheduler comes to hotel to meet the employee in person. is that normal?

i've never heard of such a thing. my boss might ask how the hotel is when we are on the road, but certainly no one calls the hotel to see how we are doing or comes by to make sure everything is ok.

my next question is this - how far away from this hotel did the scheduler have to go to get there? if it's more than several hours, something smells fishy.

charlesandnessa, she was in vancouver Canada and came to this hotel in Bellingham WA. how far is that?? what do u think?

I used to live in Bellingham and traveled to Vancouver frequently (both are beautiful cities). It can take a couple of hours, but usually about an hour and fifteen minutes. The biggest factors are the border (uggghhh) and Vancouver traffic. At first I didn't think this was a big deal, but now you've thrown 2 border crossings into the mix. Weird. If they are up to no good then hopefully they got the probe by Customs! Another thing to consider though is this person may have been looking for an excuse to come to America and spend some money (weak Dollar -vs- Loonie). If any Canadians are reading this and feeling a bit smug don't worry, we'll be back on top again in around 2 years. Enjoy it while it lasts!

as pointed out by a previous poster, it's 53 miles one way but given it's crossing a national boundry that just seems ott. then again, maybe this isn't unusual since she's canadian.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
