But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

ET,

Thanks. I have heard that in India they won't issue a mother a visitor visa if the consular officer knows her daughter in the US is pregnant. I've heard this from multiple people who have been rejected, so I'm fairly certain that's true in India. I wonder why though.

That sounds really odd, i dont understand why having a daughter in the US pregnant would affect a mother's chances.....

I aint cool enough for a signature.....

Ain't that the truth. I would have never thought I'd say (or type) them either.

Seeing that we're going to have a baby and seeing that it's our first and seeing that there's not much in terms of family around here, I must say that I really am glad to have her come over for a couple of months to help us through the first few weeks. Once her stay is up, it's my mom's turn to come over and be grandma.

rein!!!! that is so cool to hear!!

i can tell you (as a daughter) there is nothing like having your mother with you when you bring your own child into the world! my mother stays with us (my sister and i) for about 2 wks whenever we have had a child (5 between us!)

i'm so pleased for you, nani and baby-to-be!!! what will grandma be called??

We just got the call: Nani's Mom has been granted a visitor visa today so she can come and visit with us when the Baby arrives. What a relief! I thought we'd have a slightly better than 50/50 shot at getting this one accomplished.

Needless to say that Nani is in heaven right now. As am I. This is going to be a huge help for us when we become parents this fall. Awesome.

WOOOO HOOOO HOOOO! :D

ET... that is wonderful news!!! And congrats on the pregnancy, don't know how i missed that... lol
