If not for the French, we'd be speaking Cherokee.

Where have the old French gone? The were masters of Europe. They they were behind some of the greatest technological advances in the 18 and 19 centuries.

The answer is they turned to pacifism and socialism.

Don't worry I have some French blood from my Grandfather on my fathers side.

Do you think that France isn't still behind some of the greatest technological advances? Or by that do you mean death and destruction?

And if you don't want to do it for yourself, think of your wife man!

Somehow I don't think "F&@K you!, I'll Kick your a$$, Step up mother F&@ker!" will impress Mrs. Troll.

Maybe not the words, but the swelling of his testes may!

Your balls getting bigger may be important to you, but to the rest of us it just makes your pecker look smaller.

Just go ask Saddam how all the French ####### they sold him worked, Oh you can't. Well it was #######! They do have, I think one aircraft carrier, but the nuclear reactor is so unreliable that they leave it in port. Are these their technological advances you speak of? At least when we are hit with a heat wave we do not allow 10 of thousands of our people to die from it.

For a country of the greatness of France to be equal to California today is quite a decline. Or has California just expanded to the point that they caught up with France. Either way it shows that the French way is inferior to the American way.

France has been using nuclear power nearly exclusively for decades without the problems that we saw at 3 Mile Island. Also, their extensive use of nuclear infrastructure and centralisation has allowed them to pollute MUCH less per capita than the US. That's pretty advanced if you ask me.

I do find it funny that when asked about technological advancements, the only thing you can come up with to point out France's problems is a WEAPON. I really hope that society is moving away from war and not toward it. In that sense, France is kind of ahead of us.

Nah - we let people die from hurricanes not heatwaves

Yes I know from inept and corrupt one party control of a city for more than 60 years. You get a disaster! Socialism at its best!

You know absolutely nothing about the Katrina situation other than what Fox News tells you. I guess if that one party started with an R, it wouldn't have been an issue.

Oil infrastructure in this country is one of the major factors making Katrina so damaging. If you would like me to go into details, I will. Otherwise, I suggest you go elsewhere with that weak argument.

Speaking of nuclear power, Oregon State University has a design for a self cooling Nuclear power plant that if all fails it will automatically cool itself with gravity. It is a revolutionary design. So much so that China is proceeding to 200+ of them using that design. Can we build some of these please?

That is not true! The Democrats have controlled every aspect of the Louisiana government for over 60 years. A government that has been so corrupt that the city and the state have been bordering on third world status. I have been there. The first response can only be local, then state, then the feds. The local government failed by not evacuating the people, the state government failed by not requesting assistance for 3 or 4 days from the the feds which is absolutely required by law. The feds are the third line of defense. It always takes federal agency the longest to respond to anything. Which is why we are all here, waiting!. And is the main reason I keep telling you people to not hand anymore things that effect my life over to the federal government, Duh! The real mistake on the federal level was to put FEMA into the Dept. Homeland Security that added another layer of Bureaucracy that slowed the whole thing down. Let me tell you something, it is still under the DHS. If a disaster happens again it is likely to be the same.

I wonder if they call them freedom fries on the rez....

We call them French Friars.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I live in Louisiana. Lousiana has had 4 years of Democratic leadership in the last 12.

Also, a mandatory evacuation order was issued well before landfall. However, a lot of people chose not the obey and were trapped when the levees breached. To think that the federal government's response to Katrina was acceptable is foolish at best.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I imagined it would be about unusual delicacies.

That thought must have its origins in viewing pictures of donkeys and also reading that other thread about big balls.
