"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senator Barack Obama
Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

Good God Almighty! That was cowardly.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

So in big cities people run over each other but in small towns, people are perfectly civil? Just doesn't make a lot of sense to me...

Since you're a grad student, maybe you have access to studies showing whether or not higher population densities correlate to higher rates of crime?

I'd be curious to know.

always possible, given larger numbers = anonymity. greater chance for people in a smaller population base to know you.

You are serious? Crime is just as bad in a Small Town USA? Let's see... Perfectly civil? No, of course not. However, far from this type of insanity. I have never seen anything remotely like this scene in almost a half century of living in my city. But this ####### seems like everyday in NY & LA. My comment makes perfect sense.
