RE: French Toast - I was raised to eat mine with ketchup!

Dad used to make 'very plain' French Toast when we were small - just some eggs with a bit of milk. No vanilla and no dusting of the finished product with brown sugar or any of the sweet stuff. So in a way it was just a fried egg sandwich except the egg was on the outside of the bread!

I should have added that after I reached maturity, I stopped eating French Toast that way.

Well............except in private moments........... :P

A friend of mine is from Olney. This is how they celebrate. Obviously it was great ammunition for us to take the piss.

So.....just how did you take the piss?

Run naked with your skillets?

Our piss-taking abilities weren't so sophisticated at that time. It was more along the lines of "Nyer, nyer, you come from a town where they do public pancake racing, nyer, nyer."

This was at university, by the way.

Tsk tsk.

Since it was during your uni days, I am deeply disappointed in this tale. One would have thought nudity would have been mandatory.

I wonder if the guy who puts the little plastic lemons on the hooks has visions of them wherever he goes. That has got to be the most boring job ever.

RE: French Toast - I was raised to eat mine with ketchup!

:o No offense but.... icon8.gif. Though I guess those who eat it with ketchup probably feel the same about the thought of eating it with syrup.

I've just had a knock at my door and a bottle of swedish vodka handed to me with my name carved into a wee metal plate imbedded in the bottle. One of my friends said a box of 12 bottles with names of 12 of my friends landed at his door this morning. They are presents from my friends from sweden for "up helly a" which was tuesday in the shetlands. Celebrating the viking heritage of scotland.

Oh, that's so cool!

Does anyone find it strange that at no point in this video we see some actual lemons?

We see the juice go in, but no juice being squeezed...
