I had an idea for an invention last night, but have since forgotten what it was.

Anyone ever think of crazy ideas for inventions?

I'm a mechanical engineer. I think most of us get into the profession because of our love of coming up with silly ideas. Now I'm just qualified to see them through.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Well actually since you brought it up. When I was 16 (1992) I wanted my lip gloss to be shimmery. So I went to the drug store and bought a tube of clear lip gloss and then went to a craft store and bought a small tube of very fine irridecent glitter. I poured some of the glitter in my lipgloss and wham, shimmery lipgloss! I got so many compliments on it. Then 3 years later, glittery lipgloss was everywhere I looked. I could have been a millionaire.:lol::lol:

Maybe it was something to help with memory loss.

LOL...maybe...if only I can remember the damn thing...I'm sure it would've worked.

I worked at a hardware store until I was 18. I used to "invent" lots of things.

I made one guy a water jet for cleaning his gutters without climbing up on the roof. I was like 16 at the time and the guy wanted me to start a business with him. He was quite impressed.

Ooh, I also designed and built an 8 horsepower direct current outboard motor.

When I was a kid I used to like to read in bed after lights out - I envisioned a light that I could attach to a book with a clip so I wouldn't have to put the bedside lamp under the covers to read . . . of course, a few years later they came out with the booklight - exactly as I had envisioned it!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I remember those were popular a few years ago but I haven't seen them around much anymore.

Not so much inventions as songs. I always walk around trying to figure out a 3 line song that will make me millions like FELIZ NAVIDAD.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

But a trolling motor that can put a 12 foot boat on a plane. The thrust capabilities are on a different scale.

i'm not understanding this. i'm confused as to if it was for use in water or as a winch.

It was used in the water, like a normal outboard motor, only DC. It was part of a solar-powered boat that we built for a competition.
