can somebody tell me the total cost $ of expenses for k1

Just the K-1? or the entire process to citizenship?

K-1 is $455+$133+Whatever the medical costs in your country

Its likely you will spend money on making copies, translations and mailing as well.

If you mean "What is the I-129f Filing Fee?" it is $485US.

But that is not the total cost of obtaining a K1 visa - there are medical fees, photos, shipping, and of course visa fees.

And this doesn't include transportation to the interview, hotel (if applicable), x-rays, blood tests, etc etc.

However....it's worth every cent!!

(I didn't realize how much the fee has increased for the I-129F since we applied - wow)

You've received some pretty accurate $ quotes regarding the K1-AOS process. Just looking at those numbers, it doesn't seem like that much! From a forensic viewpoint, that is what it costs to legally get through it all, by sufficing all governmental requirements.

However, in my experience, I'd say that cost was x20, once I threw in all the trips, calls, and etc etc etc! Its amazing how many 'etcs' there are that I never really thought about in advance! <Haha>

Of course, I'm so happy I didn't know in advance...because it really adds up...and would have shocked me! <HAHAHA!>

She's here now though, with me and with Green Card :)

Just wanted to add that there is also the cost of ongoing relationship to factor in! for us that was monthly increased cell phone bills, vonage subscription, shipping of gifts and things back and forth and the probably 12K we spent flying and visiting back and forth over the last year while filing. of course not everyone visits monthly like we did, but if you are really budgeting the cost of the process, I would include travel expenses as well. oh and in London the medical was 200GBP which is about $400.00 dollars, and we have a courier fee at the embassy to get your visa sent to you once it is approved which was about $50.00 on top of the $131.00 visa fee. whatever you do.....over budget!!!!

I agree with this. Looking back on all the travel costs Nick and I have spent to see one another....thousands of dollars.

It's worth every single penny and I'd do it a million times over if I could.
