Your visa was not yet approved, only your petition.

For whatever reason, probably due to the special immigration laws relating to Cuba, K-1 petitions for fiances in Cuba are processed very quickly.

Yeah, this is an actual petition approval. Cubans are automatically fast-tracked. I have to say I'm stunned that it was this fast, the others I've seen have taken about a month. I need to figure out how to get my lady over to Havana. :)

Congratulations to you!!

THANKS everybody!

ok right...it is the petition approval, which means now it goes to the NVC, then over to Havana...

when Alex goes for the interview, that is when the actual Visa is approved, right?

but still...this was fantasticly fast.

hope the rest of you don't have to wait too much longer.

Yes, the visa will be approved after a successful interview. You'll need to find out how they handle getting the actual Visa to Alex, but it's usually mailed.

Yeah, I'm guessing the NOA2 letter was still hot when you opened it. :)

Congrats again, that's fantastic news.
