How do you know if you have a NOA1? Cashed check, letter, or something else (I wouldn't even guess...)?

Officially Engaged December 24th, 2007!!!

Moved to the U.S. to be with my baby on July 19th, 2008 on a K1 visa!!!!

I took a quick tally of our thread and it looks like there are about 20 of us January filers. Good luck again!

Don't forget Us!

I sent off the application on a friday to the CSC - which scared me since they seem to be so slow about everything. But they cashed the check right away and I was able to get my case number and set up on the USCIS website on the 30th. Amazing. Congrats to everyone on making it through the nerve wracking process of putting together such an important and life altering document - only to let it go into the hands of Uncle Sam.

And So It Begins......

ok I want one too!! :-) I think it shows they are working on it, so whether you get an RFE or not it means someone has it in there hands. Everytime someone goes through the paperwork they have to log it and that is where the "touch" comes from!!

Attorney just emailed me to say they received my NOA1. Yippeeee! I am having issues with the USCIS website to get the official notice date, but this makes me feel so much better to know at least we are a "number" in the system now.

checking your signature timelines, it seems to me that CSC moves faster in cashing cheques than VSC and even faster in handing out NOA1s.

Oh, VSC cash our cheque now and send us our NOA1. I'm itching to create our account on uscis case status service online.

I guess more and more of us here are becoming more OC as days go by :lol:

Give it at least a few weeks. You only submitted a few days ago, and they do tend to take a little time in getting them cashed. Then you can start to *really* wait. :D

i guess i sound like an impatient brat... i'll admit patience has never been my strongest virtue :innocent:
