Jeigh & Mike K1 Montgomery AL 2021-04-28 2021-05-27 2021-07-07 2022-05-24 2022-05-24 Yes 2022-06-02 Arrived at the USCIS office in Montgomery, AL a little early since you can never account for traffic. So, it gave us time to get something to eat just off the interstate. The office doesn't open until 7:30 and it says you can only enter 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment which was at 8AM Once inside security checked our paperwork and ID's then we went thru the metal detectors.. so; no knives, guns or bombs allowed. We were then directed to sit in the chairs in front of 4 windows. The gentleman at window 1 (the only one open) was obviously having issues getting the computers to work. We were called to window 1 and were checked in. They only asked for interview paper and both our drivers license and my wife's passport. A different person came out of side door to speak to us. He said he only needed to talk to my wife and I could wait. She was sked to bring her ID, passport as well as her medical papers and our sons birth certificate. I thought, oh no, not this kind of interview! But in less than 5 minutes, she came out and said we could go and she would be getting her green card in about 2 weeks. She said they only asked her a few basis questions like what is your home address, when did you get married and have you committed any crimes to which she replied "not yet". This got a big laugh from the interviewer and she was asked to reply yes or no. That was it. Yesterday at 1:52 PM

Matthew & Hannah K1 Albany NY 2019-05-08 2019-05-15 2019-07-03 2020-01-23 2020-01-23 Yes No 2020-01-29 Our appointment was at 08:15 in the morning - doors opened at 08:05. My wife and I were directed to check in at a window. He asked me what I was there for, and I showed him my appointment letter. He then asked for my EAD card and verified my name and address. I was then asked to provide my two index fingers to take fingerprints. Once the check-in was over, we were directed to a small waiting area adjacent to the check-in window. We were standing there for about 30 seconds and then the interviewing officer came over and called out our names. We were then led to his office in the back and asked to remain standing and to swear that all the information we were giving was true. After that, the interviewing officer went through the application and asked me to verify my name, my wife's name, our dates of birth, places of birth, my parent's dates and places of birth. Our lawyer then gave him an affidavit of support for our joint sponsor. The interviewing officer flipped through it and looked at the tax transcripts to verify that her income was sufficient. I also handed over extended evidence including: Photos Notarized Affidavits from family and friends Bank statements Credit card authorized user letters After that, he mentioned that he had read through the file and that everything was in order - took a quick glance over the bank statements, and approved us on the spot. We weren't asked any further questions about how we met, etc. All in all, we were probably in there for about 15 minutes and after we walked out, I received the email notification that my case had been approved and then switched over to Post Decision Activity.
