I have been banned from a store a month ago . they thought I was shoplifting but they were wrong when they checked my bag and everything on me :o !! They still took me to their room and took my SSN, name and address. no picture nor sign any paperwork ! I don't really understand why I got banned however I'm worried that this ban could show up on any records when I will go through the ROC process next year :(

any advice here ?

Unless they filed a police report and gave all your information I doubt that it would show up anywhere. Did police get involved at all that you're aware of?

Unless the authorities were involved, I don’t see this showing up anywhere. Man, if I had been wrongfully accused of shoplifting and put under such embarrassment, I would definitely sue them.

You gave them your personal details without a police officer or legal representative present? If this happens to you ever again you have to call the authorities and don't give your personal details such as SSN without due legal reason.

I'm not worried about the SSN but more about the fact that the lady said it was gonna go on my record 😐 Who can technically add stuff to someone's record ? Thanks for the help everyone. As I said , nobody else was involved but me and the manager because I didn't do anything
