How long is it taking for K1 visa to get work permit

I spoke to my immigration attorney and he said the rule used to be 90 days but now due to the new administration it gets done whenever it gets done and is taking up to 10 months to get work permits and green cards?! What the hell! No work for that long will drive me crazy! I'm in Florida too by the way. ANyone have any insight to this?

3 to 4 months seems to be the norm, GC's can take a lot longer but nothing new there.

As above, the EAD and AP can be about 3-4 months now, a little slower, but the GC probably 12 months.

08/15/2014 : Met Online

06/30/2016 : I-129F Packet Sent

11/08/2016 : Interview - APPROVED!

11/23/2016 : POE - Dallas, Texas

From sending of I-129F petiton to POE - 146 days.

 

02/03/2017 - Married 

02/24/2017 - AOS packet sent

06/01/2017 - EAD/AP Combo Card Received in mail

12/06/2017 - I-485 Approved

12/14/2017 - Green Card Received in mail - No Interview

Yeah green cards can be up to a year (or in some cases more), but work auth is still around 90-120 days.

I haven't seen anyone's EAD affected by the administration, but it's the first thing people blame if their case runs longer than normal.

10/22/18 - Official 18 month extension received 

02/27/19 - Biometrics waived 

04/29/19 - New card being produced!
05/09/19 - USPS delivered green card! In hand now!

Yeah I would agree, my paperwork was sent off Friday last week for my permit to work etc, I am hoping it comes alot faster than what the attorney was saying.  But he told me he heard it from someone else so who know show reliable that source was.
