Atleast you got it paid!

Good luck with the rest of your journey... when does your husband POE?

Thank you Lubnajavid for being so very kind and helpful. Yes thankfully the site started working again and we eventually paid the fee....

It's me who's moving from England to America....Should be arriving around the end of July and my POE will be Chicago O'Hare.......

I've been trying to pay this ^&*( fee for 2 hours now. I finally figured out that you have to add a "0" to the alien number or keeps saying "invalid". Finally the form advanced to the next stage, then waited for a long time and announced an error, something

like "problem with request". I logged out, and logged back in, and tried it again. Now it says "you have to finish your draft request", and there is no other option. Hit "finish draft", and you get an incomprehensible error message.

Tried again, now it says "your account has been locked".

I spent 1 HOUR WAITING ON HOLD FOR HELP and finally gave up.

What IDIOT did they get to program this thing? I'll bet they paid double the going rate for some contractor that paid a larger

bribe than the rest to get the job. Unbelievable.

Oh yea, and for extra credit, they told me on the phone that THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO PAY THE FEE except this stupid system.

Scott

Hi I think I have the same problem as you. My wife got only 8 numbers after the A for her "A-Number" where exactly did you add the 0? Do we all have to add it or is it a different number for everyone? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

IF you only have 8 numbers on your visa stamp (under where it says registration number), then when you go to pay your IV fee and where it asks for your Alien number, you should enter A followed by a 0 then followed by your 8 digit number.

The registration number and Alien number are the same thing....just for the sakes of entering into forms etc. you will need to make the Alien number 9 digits preceded by A

Lubnajavid is right...I had to add a zero (0) after the letter A. So instead of it being eight digits is was nine...I wish they would tell you this on the website. Thankfully VJ has been helpful regarding this matter...

It does say this on the right side. It took me a while to find it as well.

So glad the system is moving for some of you. For me, after waiting 1 and 1/2 hours to talk to ELIS "techs", they

went through everything with me, said they would "look into it", then never called me or did anything.

Hey I started a thread, it's in the progress forum. Maybe keep an eye on it as to whom has actually received their green card AFTER using the ELIS system.

No don't be worried. You can also go to "your messages" and there is a copy of the message they would have sent you.

Hi everyone,

My family members finally come to US.

However, we have a address change from initial address that was submitted with Immigration packet.

At embassy and POE (port of entry) , my spouse provided new address.

I also paid immigration fee online for each family member.

My question is: will green card and SSN arrive to new address ?

How i may verify or track the delivery address ?

Thanks in advance!

You can update their information on the Elis site and they can contact the USCIS about having the correct address.

Where do you put the "0" to make the alien number valid? I POE'd and the officer advised me to pay the immigrant fee ASAP.

My Alien number goes like this A########.

Do I just say A0######## or A########0?

I just read the whole thread. Nevermind. this was answered. Thank you.
