  1. Hello, everyone! Almost 2 weeks ago my fiance received the letter from the embassy giving us the go ahead to schedule an appointment for the interview. We received an expedite so that is why the NVC didnt schedule the interview for us. We have been checking the scheduling site every few hours, every day and so far nothing appears. does anyone have any tips for scheduling an interview? i really appreciate any help 🙏🏼.
  2. Does anyone know how long it takes after DQ to get an interview at Yerevan , Armenia ?
  3. Hello, everyone! quick question. How does the embassy normally reach out to applicants? Is it always through the mail or can an email be sent too? Also, do the embassies reach out to the petitioners as well?
  4. Hey everyone! Quick question, does the case status always update to show that your I-129f has been sent to the NVC on the USCIS page or can the case sometimes be sent to the NVC without the case updating as, "case was sent to the Department of State" ?
  5. hey everyone! this is my first post here. i will soon be having my case sent to the NVC and i am trying to be proactive and get everything ready. I am currently with my fiance overseas and I was reading that most of the documents for the interview need to be the originals. is the affidavit of support a document that would need to be brought to the embassy as an original with my signature on it? or would a copy be fine?
  6. Hi everyone, I had F1 visa unterview on late May 2022 in Yerevan. Due to delay in administrative process I deferred to spring semester starting on Feb 7. I am exhausted, frustrated, broken and feel any negative feeling that comes to your mind. I really appreciate it if you say anything thay could help me. have several problems, I devide them into three parts: 1-I hired lawyer in a group case of five people and the court due is on Jan 27, 2023. Unfortunately, I am the only one remaining from that group and other four students were cleared 27 days after the starting court! Does this have something to do with program starting date? Because mine start in Feb and theirs start in Jan. 2-Why is this taking so long? Do you have any information why a visa processing is taking this much long? Why some people are cleared 70 or 60 days after interview and some, like me, have to wait more than 200 days!!!!!!! (My case had no problem according to the lawyer) 3-Also, I noticed the last case cleared from US embassy in Yerevan was Dec 28, 2022. No one is cleared since new year. Is there a reason for it? Do you know when the embassy might start clearing cases in 2023? Thank you.
  7. Hello! So, my husband and I have a few questions regarding how interviews work. We're still at the beginning of this process but we thought we'd get this cleared up early on. For background, he is Russian living in Armenia. He only really has 6 months to stay in Armenia before he has to probably go back to Russia for a bit, although it's all really uncertain. There's a chance he could get his passport and go to Georgia for a bit and then reenter armenia later, but he doesn't have a passport and if he tries to get one while in Russia, he will no doubt be dragged into the war, since he hasn't done his required military conscription yet anyway, and if he tries to get one from armenia, we're completely unsure if they'd issue him one. But I guess that's a separate issue. Basically, we have no idea where he will be in the future. Maybe still in Armenia, maybe Georgia, maybe Russia in the worst case scenario. We're hoping to get an expedite since he's displaced due to the war but i've heard its unlikely, since he's russian and not ukrainian. If we start this process now and he has to leave Armenia after he submits his greencard app, then where is the interview located? Is it just whatever US embassy or consulate is near him, or would he need to reschedule the interview to match where he currently is? I've also seen conflicting information about where russian citizens are getting processed. I heard that he would have to do everything in Poland but I've also seen that he just needs to use whatever embassy is closest to him. Is it that if he's physically in russia he needs to go to poland and if he's still in armenia he goes to the US embassy in armenia? It's a really confusing situation, so any thoughts or information to help us out would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  8. Hello! New user here. I just recently got married to my Russian husband, who is currently residing in Armenia due to the war. He has no intentions of ever returning to Russia. I am the US citizen petitioner filling out the I-130, and in the "Information about beneficiary in their native written language" section, it's asking for his name and address in his native language. His name I understand should be in Cyrillic, but the address he's living at right now is Armenian. Should that also be in Cyrillic, or should it be in Armenian? Thanks!
