We filed for adjustment of status and the paperwork was returned with a notice informing us that payment was incorrect for our i-131.

I sent a check for $1140.  From what I understood that was supposed to cover everything.  Is the i-131 a separate $660?

What should I do now?

If you file your AOS, EAD (I-765), and AP (I-131) concurrently then the fee is $1225 (which includes the biometrics).

If you've only filed your AOS and AP then the fee would be $1225 for the AOS + $660 for the AP, totalling $1885 (I assume).

Fee for i131 is NOT required if filed with i485.

You did not include the biometrics fee, that's why it got rejected.

So should I just correct the amount and resend?

The package is the whole shebang.  I-485 i-131 etc.

Arken has hit the nail on the head.

Providing all your paperwork is in order, then resending with the correct payment amount on the cheque should work just fine.

I-485 = $1140

Biometrics = $85

I-131 = $0

I-765 = $0

Total = one check in the amount of $1225

If there's nothing you want to add to your package and you feel that it's complete, resend it with a new check.

Biometrics fee is needed. It is not obvious in fees section. I also missed it in AOS application.

In reseeding the application, in our case, I took the opportunity to go thru and change a few things and add additional supporting documents.
