I passed my interview! It was easy and he went over my application, asked me questions about my husband and kid, where we live and what we do etc, whether my husband is my son's biological father, my travels (which are total of 3 weeks in 5 years..). He took a copy of my son's birth certificate. By the way it wasn't specified on the letter that I had to bring it, but I did and he asked me about it. The questions for civics test were:

why did the colonists come to america?

what is one right of freedom from the first amendment?

if the president can no longer live who becomes the president?

who is the commander in chief?

what was the main concern of the US during the cold war?

there were 4 amendments to the constitution about who can vote, describe one of them?

Sentence to read: Which state has the most people?

Sentence to write down: California has the most people.

He also said if I had applied a couple of months later and it had been 5 years (which is going to be in June for me) the questions would have been less about my marriage. But I applied on the basis of marriage and it doesn't matter in the end to me. Then he said "congratulations, you did very well today and you will receive a notice about your ceremony in about a month". Phew, almost there!

hi to evey one,

i been a silent visa journey user but i would like to share my timeline and exp for other users. so below is my timeline

sent n400-10/24/2016

uscis recieved n400 app: 10/26/2016

NOA date: 10/27/2016

biometrics: 11/23/2016

Inline for interview: 11/25/2016

Inrerview sch: 11/30/2016

Interview:01/08/2016

In line for oath ceremony: 02/01/2016

Oath sch and letter was mailed: 02/02/2016

Oath Ceremony:02/19/2016

Local field office: Louisville Kentucky

Interview Exp:

On interview day i arrived 15 minutes early there was only i more couple waiting in office. Isigned in at the counter. USCIS officer asked for my passport and GC. After about 10 minutes a nice lady came outside called my name asked me to follow her into her office. she sworn me in and then said she will start will history test first asked me 6 questions i answered all of them correctly (i dont remember questions right now) then asked me to read a sentence and write an answer which she dictated. after that she informed me i passed test. Then she started going through my application first personal details then yes and no question after that she asked me to sign my application printed a paper and asked me to check if all the info on that paper were correct which was basically my name A# date of birth and other personal data for naturalization certificate and also asked me to sign that. once that part was done she said she recommending me for approval. I asked when my oath ceremony will be she replied she is not the one who sch oaths so she really does not have any idea it could take from one to three months and then walked me out the whole process took may be 10 to 15 min very easy and the lady was very professional but nice.

Oath ceremony Exp:

oath ceremony was at Muhammed ALI center in louisville was sch for 9:30 i arrived there at about 9 am. At reception they informed us it will start at 10 am. so we had to wait in the lobby until then at around 10 they started letting us go upstairs via elevators separated family members from applicants (applicant seat rows were at front and family members were at back). A USCIS officer asked me for my oath letter and GC and assigned me a seat number at every seat there was welcome package containing a Letter from president of USA, a passport application, a copy of constitution and some other literature about rights and responsibilities of US citizens. at around 11 15 a judge arrived and gave a little speech followed by a girl who sung star spangled banner followed by US attorney requesting judge to come and administer oath. oath was administered and judge informed that all of us 149 people are now US citizens that was followed by some speeches from other guest speakers and finally pledge of allegiance was administered and USCIS officers distributed naturalization certificates then we went to eat lol

My wife had her N-400 Interview this morning, February 23. She texted me that she passed. I will talk to her tonight and try to post more detail about the interview.

We never received the letter with the data and time of her interview. The most difficult part was all the problems I had finding out when her interview was scheduled and receiving a faxed copy of the I-797 notice 4 days before her interview. That is another story.

Yay!! I am a citizen as of today!!

Strangely, the USCIS officer checking me in asked me only "has anything changed since the interview", while he asked others very detailed questions.

All in all a very well choreographed, and moving ceremony.
