We had interview today, hubby was approved. They kept his passport but so confusing because status still says ready. anyway they did not ask for anything, only two questions. who filling for you how long do you know each other. but why status still says ready. so confusing!

It will stay in READY until issues. You may see it change to Administrative Processing. Don;t freak that is normal they when VISA is printed it says issued. Everything is normal.

I sent an email last week to my Congressman. This was part of the reply that the NVC gave them:

"We are unable to predict when this case will be scheduled for an interview. We determine our scheduling based on the capacity provided to us by the U.S. Embassy."

Seriously? I have sent an email back to my Congressman asking - can you contact the US Embassy and ask why they have not provided capacity since 3/23 OR when they will provide capacity.

Arg!!! I really do not think the Embassy is the issue. :(

Considering you are going through a not very bust embassy I believe it is very much the embassy issue.

One thing to consider about slots available is also staff. Who is there, how busy they are. And all embassy have very few slots for IR1/CR1. The bulk of all US embassy business are those visitor visas. I know Lagos does 400 to 500 per day. Imagine. So hang in there.

And bravo to the Congressman who got in there and got you information.

PSA (I need to add this to the 1st post.)

Okay for those who want to be added to list there are criteria to meet. I will not add you if.

1. You do not put your VJ name. a bunch of made of numbers is not your VJ name. Please fill out form correctly or you will not be added.

2. This spreadsheet is for IR1-5/CR1-5, F2A category. No F2B or F3, All EB category,

3. Please keep your timeline updated. That helps us all.

Now you ask why not all F categories as you well know that's brothers and sisters and it can be 10 to 21 years depending on your country and the data on the spreadsheet was been quite askew. I had someone who has been waiting since 1988 I can;t add that to the spreadsheet it would change case complete to interview dramatically.

Have had quite a few mystery name people on list to be added but when I go to pull them up its not found. Many people using the VJ Member ID number. I don;t know why. You good old VJ name. Spread the word. This spreadsheet is only as good as the data you provide.

Also if you change your VJ name tell me please so I can update,. Many people come to these spreadsheet and see maybe a member from their country or same CC or interview date want to talk to you but no bueno you can;t be found. LOL

Thank you :goofy:(L)

Thanks, dwheels76! I think I am about to jump off the nearest ledge! I have emailed the US Embassy and ask the Congressman to follow up with the Embassy as well for answers - so I can stop my constant thinking about when am I going to get an interview.

Thanks again for the support! ;)

Unfortunately for me... My Congressman stated that they have not gotten any response back from NVC or the Dept. of State ... She stated that it usually takes a couple of weeks (30-45 days) ... I am not feeling so positive anymore.

Hi dwheels,

Do you have any familiarity with the Colombia embassy in Bogota?

Currently there are 4 of us on your list who are in the queue waiting for interviews with cc dates below.

04/14/2015 Sanama

04/09/2015 lopezgallo

03/31/2015 Russ&Caro

03/26/2015 yc145

I got through to NVC last week but the rep just stuck to the script about the need to wait as slots come available for filling. Historically, from your sheet, I don't see anything that makes them laggards relative to the other embassies. The last VJ'er assigned an interview had a cc of 1/29, scheduled date of 2/5, and an interview of 3/18.

Thanks for everything you do here!
