Hello,

First time posting in a progress thread here. We are currently just past the medical (which had some bumps -stressful-). Luckily all was well in the end, and they were able to mail the results to the embassy on 21 AUG, and we were given an interview date of 16 SEP yesterday. We can now relax for about 3 weeks before the ride gets exciting again. :)

this is quite good timing for the interview! 3 weeks not bad! good luck :)

Thank you! Technically, the medical happened on 13 AUG, but we had to spend an extra week dealing with the outcome of it. I'd say it's closer to 4.5 weeks.

After all the crazy and the London embassy never admitting they lost our readiness information, we got an interview date. I have to say the agents at NVC have been awesome especially since there is no way to call the embassy. After speaking to someone last night, he said he would email London on our behalf... this morning when we called NVC as they suggested we have a date. Thank you NVC!! Side note we have still never heard back from London after we sent our detailed email.

If you don't feel your case is processing as it should call...the guy at NVC told me it never hurts to be proactive. They may tell you to wait but at least you tried.

Case is "ready" at embassy. DS-160 and Readiness form are submitted. Medical exam is next week.

I guess the only thing to do now is wait for Packet 4 (interview date letter) at some point after the medical. Worst case scenario: what happens if packet 4 never comes? Does anyone have any tips on this? I heard the NVC doesn't like you calling them to ask for your interview date...but what happens if this is your only choice?

People have had success contacting the NVC for an interview date, I think. After 6 weeks London are happy for you to contact them about it, right?

You can call NVC. They have a new option. Listen for the option that says K fiancé at foreign embassy. I believe it is option #2. The folks there were extremely helpful to us as London lost our readiness form submission. Do not choose the Interview option. That is for scheduling an interview thru NVC which is not how it is done for K1. They were not able to see much with the first tier rep...you had to go thru 3 folks to get the info you now get with option #2.

Hope this helps.

Thank you! As I've said in another thread, my fiancee's contact as her congressman's (I think) office contacted the NVC about our case's status. They said that they have received the medical results (good) but that they were waiting on fingerprint results? That's weird as a) I'm British so didn't need fingerprints for my police certificate and b) I've not seen fingerprints mentioned anywhere in the K1 process both unofficially (on here) or officially? None has responded to suggest what this might be about so I was a little concerned by this. Hopefully it's nothing.

Don't you think it might be some bogus answer by NVC or a misunderstanding by congressional aide? Call the NVC directly and ask questions until you understand.

Medical may have arrived at embassy Aug 17-18. Two full weeks have not even passed yet. Seems to still be in normal range to me. Worry after next Friday.

I called the NVC (or rather, through the DOS number listed on this site), and was giving my date. I waited until my case had been updated on the CEAC - of course, within days, the interview date letter arrived. But who's not anxious?

The DoS number transferred me directly to the NVC without prompt (and directly into the 30 min musical number), and I was assisted by a very nice lady who gave me the interview date.

Oh yeah, I accept it's well within a normal timeframe so it's not that I'm particularly worried about (although the anticipation is killing me haha!), it was the fingerprint comment. I will get my fiancee to try and ring as I wouldn't like to see the phone charges if I try from over here!

All things being equal (which we know with this process there's no such thing), I should be ahead of you in terms of the processing.

I am still awaiting an interview date. I'm concerned what happened to Sunya and Tim with a lost readiness form by London is also happening to me.

Filled both DS-160 and Readiness forms on 22 JUL, I had my medical on 6 AUG, not heard anything since, it's been six weeks since DS-160, but just over 3 weeks since my medical (maybe that's the element I've overlooked). My case was last touched 18 AUG, according to DOS that was apparently when my medical results were input/processed.

Starting to lose faith and that my readiness form has been overlooked, surely I should have had an interview date allocated by now?! Well according to other timelines I've checked I definitely should. I've sent London an email but don't hold out much hope for a reply. I will try calling NVC next week to see if I can get any sense out of them. Someone elsewhere said maybe I was too hasty filling my readiness and I should have waited till after or closer to my medical date, but according to the London guide written by Nich-Nick I should have been fine.

Incredibly stressful anxiously waiting for an update on my interview date. Do let me know if others are experiencing the same or if you have any insights as to my circumstances. Many thanks
