I was referring to the post by swji89, I'm not sure you'll have an interview assigned yet. I believe either petitioner or beneficiary can place the call, they usually query which you are.

Either the petitioner or beneficiary can call and ask. They'll want the case number, birth date and name of the beneficiary.

I would try calling NVC. It's likely you've already been assigned an interview. My interview was assigned 26th Aug.

This has crossed my mind. I'm going to suggest my fiancee ring tonight after work.

We haven't yet attempted SSA. Dealing with them probably won't make me happy.

Our SSA experience was very smooth and pleasant. The chap dealing with me seemed to know what he was doing, I think we only needed my passport/ visa, I-94 print out and marriage certificate. They said the card would be with us within two weeks - fingers crossed.

The teacher in me wants to tell you to catch up on your reading. The embassy explains it in four steps right here http://london.usembassy.gov/iv/fiance_instructions.html Step four tells you London will pick your interview date.

I understand. And when you read too much K1 forum you hear procedures for every country in the world. Each embassy is different so don't do anything somebody from the Philippines says.

My head was spinning too when I went through all of this. Be sure to read the steps from the embassy fully. Go into each of the links and see what each entails. For example, the medical will want you to have your Police Certificate. So yes, you can book your medical sooner than later, but you'll want to ensure you have your police certificate first. And your police certificate will want a number of documents as well... I think you see where this is going. It's overwhelming. I made a preliminary list from what you learn from the embassy, then list all the required documents for each of those items, then all the required documents for those.

You have to wait till you have the interview date and time. It is part of the information you have to provide. And yes it must be paid before your fiancé attends the interview.

Still nothing in terms of an interview date for me. I swear this wait might be even more excruciating than the Texas Service Centre stage due to it being so close yet so far!

Have you done contact form yet? It shouldn't take this long. Or called NVC? Or sent another readiness?

I called NVC on Friday, yes. Nothing further yet. They confirmed that the embassy had received my DS160 and medical results, though.

Was just an observation rather than a cry for help haha.

It's well within the stated processing times so can't complain, really!

Got packet 4 on the 4th, interview scheduled for the 29th of September!
