TSC April/May filers who have NOT been transferred

So there's been all this commotion at TSC with a lot of the April and May applications being transferred to hitherto unknown locations. While we do not yet know if this is a good thing or a bad thing - or indeed an indifferent thing -- some of us have yet another unique reason to wonder what's going on: not all of us among the April/May filers have been transferred. My NOA1 is May 21st. I called USCIS last night to ask them why I was not transferred while so many others around me have been, and the guy read out of a script saying each case is different. Upon insisting, he said he was not even aware of the fact that there were such transfers of cases.

I know there are a few more like me out there whose cases haven't been transferred and are wondering what that might mean. Why don't we talk about it and see where our collective curiosity and concern takes us?

I'm an April 1st filer and I haven't been transfered. I've seen another April 1st filer got transfered, though. So I have no idea :) But just a few minutes ago, I saw on Igor's List that an April filer from TSC got approved, I shouldn't be overly excited about that but it made me happy to see that. :D

I'm not concerned about not being transfered. In fact, I don't want to get transfered, because TSC is going really fast now. They're about to be done with Feb and it only took them a week or two to get to this point after they got done with Jan filers. I'm hoping to get approval in September if the pace goes like this. :) Transfers usually take a few weeks to be completed, and I really don't want to waste time being transfered and stay at TSC where I can get an approval in a few weeks anyway.

Yeah, i was actually a little disappointed I was transferred since TSC is speeding up. The rate they were going, I figured mine would be done by early October (my NOA1 is 4-4).

We got our NOA1 on the 29th of May but have heard nothing since. No ARN, no transfer notification. We're hoping that they don't simply keep sitting on the ones still at TSC as they've been doing before. Curious to know how many petitions are being transferred and how many will remain there.

I hate how there are so many axes of different treatments - real and perceived - which we have to deal with, and any commonality of grievance is undermined by some other level at which my grievance is different from yours.

First there was a TSC vs CSC divide. Then there is the randomness of people being processed out of turn, while older applications still sit there. Now there is a divide between those from TSC April/May filers who WERE transferred, and those of us who haven't been transferred. Amidst all this commotion, maybe people don't even realise that there are those of us who haven't had any correspondence about any transfer. We don't know if it is a good thing or a bad thing - but regardless of that, we have NO CLUE why applications before AND after ours would be picked up for transfer and not ours. I am genuinely worried that they might have lost my application. What other reason could there possibly be for 4-5 applications out of hundreds being singled out for NOT being transferred. Particularly when these cases weren't even OPENED and processed. Did they really lose my case? I'm just so depressed thinking about this.

I wouldn't worry about your application being lost (although that thought has crossed my mine too, as my application was one of the ones that was not transferred). I'm bad with dates but my NOA1 was early May (may 9th? .. it's in my timeline lol). And at this point I'm crossing my fingers hoping I DON'T get transferred! Because TSC has sped up, and it takes weeks to settle into a new service center. Just think, they have to pack your application up, mail it out, hope it doesn't get lost on its way to california.. where someone has to re-process that they received it, and throw it in a pile before someone opens it up to actually look at it. Sounds terrifying! And the more applications they get, the slower THEY will be.

But who knows. Those transferred were already 3-4 months into the waiting game, so they only had a month or two to go (figuratively speaking, anyway)... How is California going to speed that up for them? It might take the same amount of time as it would have at TSC???

Oh I don't know, I don't want to think too much about it.

All I know is that I wasn't transferred. I've been checking daily and at this point I'm really hoping they don't transfer me. (Of course, now that I said that, I'm going to refresh the USCIS page and see a transfer notice ... lol )

I don't think it's about speeding up cases that where transferred. But more about speeding up TSC. So I think that the ones who weren't transfered should consider themselfs lucky. I would anyways.

Mar. 21, 2018: Received NOA

Our case is the same as Wendy71. Given an ARN on the 19th, no news since. We're wondering if they're actually transferring all the cases from May or simply a selection?
