"Boarders" needs to be "borders", otherwise good.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

Yes, lol, we got that one. Just up to everyone to notice and change. I copy and pasted before I noticed, sorry.

It's the same for us K1 filers. I'm glad I didn't marry in her country, which I almost did, the wait time has always been longer for i130 filers, unfairly so!

You should send too. I know some k1 filers who have waited longer than me. They filed before me and we'll probably be in the US around the same time. K1 filers have also been hit with the same issues, this just came from a i130 filers group.

Someone has written a letter suggesting we bombard the relevant agencies and media outlets over extended USCIS and now NVC wait times. We are suggesting a mass email to be sent out this week. Here is the content:

I am writing to you today as a part of a group that has been invisible. I am writing to you today to be seen. You are supposed to represent the people. I am writing to you today for help.

Each month a few hundred thousand I-130 petitions are filed with the USCIS from a US citizen on behalf of their spouse who is not a resident of the United States. These are people who have fallen in love and see no boarders in that. These are also people who trust their government and wish to go about bringing their loved ones into the country LEGALLY and do exactly as the system and government agencies ask.

We feel we are not being treated as law abiding tax paying citizens. We are being treated as if we do not matter, or even exist.

It is currently taking over one year in total to bring the spouse of a US citizen to the USA. With current laws giving priority to ILLEGAL immigrants we are being set aside. The problem is no one knows we are here. WE are hundreds of thousands of people being torn apart from our loved ones, our family, our friends and our human right to be happy. Children are forced to be separated from one of their parents. Wives are going through child birth without their spouses to witness the life they have created being introduced into the world. Some US Citizens are being forced to choose between their partner in life, and their right to live life in the country they were born in.

This is not what we were promised. This is not what we will allow to continue.

Here are some key points, questions and demands we would like to bring to your attention:

- USCIS states that spouses of US Citizens do not need to wait in line for a visa to become available and that family unity is a priority

- If US Citizens are at the top of the priority for the US government agencies why are we being set aside while ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION REFORM is being glorified and allowed special treatment?

- US Citizens are put through stress and depression and as a result poor mental and physical health since the DACA program has slowed down processing times even more than in previous years

- Thousands of dollars A DAY is being spent on ILLEGAL immigrants to be able to stay in the USA when we have to prove we can support ourselves with our own hard earned money and we are happy to do so

- When calling the phone numbers we are provided for assistance during this process we get NO understanding and certainly very inconsistent answers, if any

- We need to know why our government is spending so much money and resources on ILLEGAL immigrants and warfare and cant provide enough employees to control a backlog for spouses of US Citizens to process their paperwork?

- Certain processing time frames at NVC and USCIS are given and not abided by and we demand for a change in this

- We demand for processing times to be controlled and fair at ALL steps of this process

- We demand to be the priority as we are choosing to do what is right and legal

- We demand to be treated more humanely

- We demand for a change in processing times for Immigrant Visas IMMEDIATELY

We want to know why we are being punished.

We need to know that we are not invisible.

WE CANNOT CONTINUE TO BE IGNORED

Sincerely,

Nicely worded and strong good work I hope the government heads pay attention to our cries of us coming first for a change instead of us waiting longer for going by the rules of this unfair process, good luck to all in your journey

I'm not sure, I just copied the list that was put on the i130 filers group page because the person isn't in VJ anymore. Is there an updated list that can be put on this thread?

Great point. It would be beneficial to tailor this letter to Mr Rodriguez more towards pointing out USCIS inefficiencies. IMO those children under DACA deserve a fair chance, but not at the cost of legal waiting in line immigrants. USCIS needs to step up their game and hire more adjudicators and other support staff. Inefficiency at hiring more staff is the only reason for this whole mess anyway.

Also why send the letter to TSA? The airport security theater doesn't have any say in immigration, does it?

I didn't even catch that. TSA and ICE have nothing to do with this debacle. Send it to the Senators and Repesentatives and the people in charge of USCIS and DHS. And why is only Fox News getting blasted? If this is going to get pushed to the media, I think both sides should get copies of it.

Probably because we all see how much Fox ( Rupert Murdoch ) HATES Obama. We also see how little people really know about what department of the U S govt has any influence at all over this process. Sending this to the laundry list at Fox for example is a ridiculous waste of time and simply waters down the attempt.

The House just left on vacation. Why not send this letter to the actual people that do the work? The work they haven't done for 60 years. Why not make your " demands " there? Demand a written response then post the results here on V J.

The focus now is on the people crossing the borders by the hundreds every day. They supposedly are fleeing death by squads of roaming criminals. This is being blamed on the US citizens appetite for drugs in a effort to have the U S send billions to fight that problem. Coyotes being paid thousands by these people to be brought to the borders. Billions paid to the corrupt politicians. This is a game of profit and politics.

Here in the U S we cant get our own loved ones a legal visa to enter the country legally. This situation isn't going to be resolved by writing letters to Fox news.

The letters should be sent to the persons Senators and Congressman that the authors cant name. When they do take time to look up the correct name send a letter demanding a written response that includes the voting record on immigration issues since that person took office. It should also ask what the most recent action the politician took on any immigration issue. This will provide a true indication of where the problem lies.

I only copied the list I was given. I intend to make my own list using some of the above. I certainly won't be sending to Fox News. I think this was just the list that floated round VJ last year. Everyone can choose who to send to if they want to send it at all.

I think the most important thing is to get it out early this week to whoever needs to see it, especially with the 60 day email that people got on Friday.
