So, I'm putting together all of our interview evidence, and got to our photos. I got over a hundred photos printed last month at a Kodak store in preparation for the interview, but unfortunately they didn't have time stamps on them. Do you guys think I should try to write approximate dates (month and year, at least) on the backside of the photos? Or would it not matter?

I would just go with what you submitted. Rarely do they ask for I-864 unless there's issue. Your I-864 wouldn't change however i wold make sure your husband has current job employment letter and recent check stub.

If they say you need a co-sponsor i would have that in hubbies hands just in case also. But only offer it up if need be. hopefully you should be fine. But i know most recent tax year they really look at previous year heavily in Lagos. I habe seen many who make well above the guidelines but previous year they were below so they had to get co-sponsor or in to cases i know another co-sponsor.

Hey. I put a caption and month-year date on EVERY picture. I made a photo montage in Microsoft Word. My whole JOB at the moment is producing marketing and training materials for project management.

They will accept the old I-864. They typically do accept older versions of updated forms. It won't matter.

I was almost in the same situation as you. we wedded in Sept and I left Nigeria oct 15th. Came back to school and job and also PREGNANT. Before the pregnancy, we had planned i would return In Feb.

Ultimately, my opinion is that it depends on challenges (red flags) and what you have going for you like

* how long before wedding did you know each other? we had known for about 8months by our wedding.

* what is the age difference between you guys? he is older by 7yrs(very early 40s and me mid 30s).

*any cultural difference? we are both Igbo

*WHEN DID YOU GUYS MEET AND HOW MAY TIMES BEFORE THE WEDDING DID YOU VISIT HIM?( very important to overcome your absent of recent visit). I visited twice within a one year period; first time to meet him(in FEB) and then to have the wedding( in late AUGUST) which I stayed abt 6weeks. your husband NEEDS to know your visit dates and duartion too.

*did you FRONTLOAD additional proof to NVC like pics and other evidences. it most times eliminates the need to grill the applicant too much that day. if not, then make sure you get him proof of you beingin school for all those semesters.

*have you previously petitioned or has he been petitoned before by someone else? in our case, NO.

In answer we have known each other for 5 years beore the wedding since March 0f 2007 and then we got married July 2012.

The age difference between us is 5years. He is in his early 30's and I am in my late 20's.

Before the wedding we were together i.e we lived together from 2007 to December 2009 when I came over to the US.( I am a US citizen by birth)although I grew up in Nigeria.Since I came in 2009 the first time I went home was for the wedding although we pages of phone records from 2011 showing we have been communicating. Prior to 2011 I used calling cards precisely ( Nigeria DC).lol

We front loaded with about ten pictures of our wedding which i guess is not a lot but like you said I am in the process of getting my official transcript from my school including a letter saying I was in school for those semesters.

I am studying to be a nurse and the program is very intensive as I m in my last year before I graduate.

Nobody has ever filed for him and none of us have been married before either

We didnt want to mention the filling part either because I sponsored him myself with no co sponsor. I have been working ffull time and going to school full time up until this year when I decided to concentrate on my school and this has affected me financially.

We received our interview date on May 1st 2013(smiling but like other VJers. I knew of our date April 30th coz I kept calling and calling lol )

Please I would like any contribution from any vjers including ndu n dwheels.

I think you have even a more solid case than us considering the length of time you have known each other prior marriage and the fact that you lived together for that long period.

You have that and your ages going for you. Like I alwsy say , frontload is not about the quantity of documents added but what story they tell. If the ten pics show very telling aspects of your wedding like the size of guests(we had over 400 guests and 5 of my very older siblings from another mother attended from the U.S. with their spouses), shots with extended family members and key members and friends, that should suffice.

Your clean immigration record is a plus too. Its ok not to have a co sponsor as long as what you make is above the poverty line for the family size. I think it is common knowledge how intense the nursing program could be so that should help the CO see reason why a recent visit has not been possible.

could you get a week off during his interview so that you go down there? That will help greatly too.

Even if you are not allowed inside the embassy but the fact that when asked , he mentions that you are outside will boost the case.

Getting everything ready for our interview next month. I front loaded our I130 with ALOT of evidence (lots of photos, photocopies of practically everything we did together in regards of receipts, plane tickets etc). Should I bring even MORE evidence?

According to most things I read, Montreal doesn't even ask. BUT you can bring a few things with you just in case they do. I only have maybe 1 more picture of us together. But I didn't send emails originally so will bring some of those and have 2 more visits since we filed. I'm not sure what else I COULD bring for evidence to be honest and I am only bringing some stuff in case they ask. Which I kinda doubt they will, but better to be prepared than not.
