I would think though that if you had a confusing birthday where you couldn't tell month from date, long form would be best. (Aka March 11 can be written 04/11 or 11/04... Best to write that one out IMHO.)

Yeah, long form is probably better in some cases where it can be confusing. I was born on 10/10, so my birth date is fine laughing.gif

I feel like at the NVC stage every day becomes a party!

I mean, in comparison to the long I-130 wait. It's almost like everyday something new happens and you know that you are getting closer to the interview date!

Definitely agreed. With USCIS, you don't do much (unless you get a RFE) for a few months. Compared to NVC where you're doing something almost every day. Feels more productive, and you're in control of how fast the process goes (if you take time paying bills/sending packages, the slower the process vs paying bills/sending packages asap, the faster the process).

I sent in DS 3032 email some hours ago! just received this email from NVC now. what does it mean? indicated the supervisor review thing!<div>Does it mean my DS 3032 is accepted orrr? should i resend it?</div><div> </div><div><br></div><div>Dear Sir/Madam:</div><div><br></div><div>The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: NVC case no xxxxxxxxx filed by petitioner name on behalf of beneficiary name.We are unable to add third party contact information to the case record at this time. Please continue to notify the NVC of any change in the petitioner's or principal applicant's address. This petition is now eligible for further processing. The petitioner, principal applicant, and/or attorney of record will receive an instruction package regarding further processing of this petition. </div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Saylin pls help!

</div>

The bolded above indicates it was not accepted. Resend the DS-3032 asap. It should be accepted the second time.

I have a question that maybe someone can help with. The Embassy in Ankara Turkey posts an interview schedule. They just updated it again and there are still no 2013 CR1 or IR1 visas. There are lots ok 2013 K1 visas. The odd things too is there are IR1 and Cr1 from 2010, 2011, 2012. How can that be? I thought your file was only good for 1 year at the NVC? I know there are 2 Cr1's approved in March from here and they still have not received interview dates. Why would K1's get interviews and not Cr1's? Any thoughts?

So, I just tried to login to the payment portal and it doesn't recognize my numbers. It did when I first looked earlier on today. I just wanted to check again and the numbers aren't "correct." Could it just be that they are working on it or something?

Case number changed to reflect correct visa post!!! In typical gov. fashion, no notice received! (despite being told repeatedly that I would receive an email). I think the second email helped.

I found out after signing into the payment portal today.

Oh well, back on track.....

I am the petitioner.

I think they'll accept your documents if they are original, issued from Nadra. In my view somehow they get confused when they see a certificate or document , in a new format, other than usual documents they have been seeing before.

Relax, we are in the same boat, unfortunately! As for the birth certificate, there is one issued from Union Council, hand written. (Usually at the time of the birth) If your wife has that, you can try sending the original copy of that for a safe side. Though I am hoping they'll accept the printed Nadra ones.

I hope you're right, but we're getting brand new documents from NADRA again, not going to waste time waiting on NVC if they review and reject again.

My wife doesn't have the one from Union Council, so we can only use the NADRA ones. USCIS accepted them, not sure what NVC's problem is with these two documents. mad.gifheadbonk.gif

:ot: Hey guys, a question for a friend! Can a USC apply for I-130 without a SSN? ps: the USC did not file taxes because they did not have income. Can you apply for a number while abroad? The embassy is not a helpful resource to apply at. They told my friend it might take a year to get it!

Why would they want to file an I-130 without a SSN? That sounds strange to me. Did someone steal their identity and they are working on getting a new SSN, or something? It's a part of the I-130 form. So I would say no, unless they never got one, in which case they wouldn't be allowed to work in the US and they cannot sponsor their spouse without a secondary sponsor (unless they have the minimum amount of assets needed).

Am I understanding the question correctly?

Wow....this is the first I heard or seen USC doesn't have a SSN. If he lost his SSN, he/she must be present or in person at SSN local office with proper documents and they usually send a replacement within a few days or some place will issues right away. After 3rd or 5th replacement there's a fee.

Dearest Hubby asked to take over phoning NVC for now.

Seeing me crying on the phone to NVC yesterday while we were on Skype upset him too much.

I feel so dejected…first the stupid NOID and now this.
