I am attaching what it looks like it did not say if I send original or copies and actually does not state whose they want I am assuming his because I have sent mine....thoughts?????

Sorry if you got an RFE. I know that when I sent our I-130 the beneficiary's birth certificate was required, but that was over a year ago. Hopefully they receive your RFE soon and it doesn't take a million years to process it. wacko.gif

They should have typed his name at the end of para 5.

But it does look like that's what they're asking for.

It's so frustrating that they are using the outdated manuals, but on the upside it's an RFE not a NOID

Oh and I sent a colour printout of my original (in other words a really good copy) because it did not specifically ask for an original and at this stage it used to ask for a copy.

SO you sent it in and now you wait? I am hoping once I send it that it will go fast!!! You are the reason I told him to send me one cause I wanted to be proactive...... and look what I got! lol :bonk:

I read an old USCIS memo that said that they try and answer NOIDs within 60 days and for RFEs the person goes back in the pile in their spot in line.

It's been around 3 1/2 weeks since the Charleston field office received my birth certificate so I hope that we get an approval shortly.

Told hubby about the added fee (the new green card one) and he said he'd gladly pay double if it meant them working faster.

The after interview but before entering fee of $165 to USCIS to produce our green cards. There is a thread on the home page about it.
