So, since I had to send fingerprint cards with my application from overseas, besides the NOA confirming receipt of the package, the next time I should actually hear from them is with an interview letter, right?

05/2007 - got married in Germany

05/2007 - filed I-130 via DCF in Frankfurt

08/2007 - interview to prove bona fide marriage

09/2007 - hubby PCSed to GA

10/2007 - hubby deployed to Iraq

04/2008 - hubby on RnR in Germany

08/2008 - received CR-1 visa

12/2008 - flew to GA alone to welcome home the hubs

09/2009 - PCSed to CA

03/2010 - we're pregnant!

06/2010 - applied for German "BBG" to retain German citizenship during naturalization

08/2010 - BBG granted

09/2010 - filed ROC

12/2010 - received 10 year GC

12/2010 - our little miracle is born!!!

01/2011 - PCSed to Germany

01/2012 - filed N-400 for overseas naturalization

03-15-2012 - Best of Both Worlds, I'm a dual citizen :-)

No letter for you yet, DAndy? Is it maybe because AZ and CA are so close? I usually get mail/packages pretty quickly if they're sent from the mid-west*.

*Unless it's Christmas time, then all bets are off

17th January 2012 Sent in N-400 application

24th January 2012 Received conformation e-mail from USCIS

25th January 2012 Cheque cashed

13th February 2012 Biometrics appointment

5th March 2012 Received e-mail I am in line for interview scheduling

8th March 2012 Received letter for interview

12th April 2012 Interview date-approved

10th May 2012 Oath ceremony

No letter for you yet, DAndy? Is it maybe because AZ and CA are so close? I usually get mail/packages pretty quickly if they're sent from the mid-west*.

No, nothing :( I'm trying not to worry about being skipped over but it's hard to refrain from obsessively refreshing my application status online... Which is silly because I have every possible alert turned on... Oh well.

I'm just telling myself that the ASCs in the Chicago area are probably backed up.

Hi Fellow January Filers,

We mailed my wife's N-400 on 1 /28/2012 to the Phoenix office. Our local office is Los Angeles. I tried to add our name to the list. I have done this before. For some reason, it was not working. Can somebody please add us to the January filers.

Well.... I am filing based on 5 years so mine is pretty much straightforward. Sooooooo.... I am sending in the following:

1. N-400 application filled out.

2. 2 passport size photos

3. Front and back copies of my GC,

4. Copy of my divorce decree.

5.A check of $680.00

6. G-1145 form (E-Notification of app)

7. Oooohhhhhh not to forget a cover letter that I'm attaching. (Coupled with tonnes of prayers :D)

I'm just telling myself that the ASCs in the Chicago area are probably backed up.

Maybe you won't have to do biometrics since you did it 10 months ago. Sometimes they skip it if it's been less than 15 months. However ours had only been 11 months, but we still got a biometric appointment. Oh well, it wasn't too far and an easy walk-in.
