Posting for a friend of mine: filed in early December and no news at all yet: no RFE, no transfer letter, and no approval. I advised her to put in a service request right away. Seems like December 2011 filers are taking forever! Good luck to everyone still waiting!

As long as the case was transferred more than 180 days ago then for sure, put in a service request, or involve congressman rightaway. Your friend can also inquire about the last action taken on her case when calling USCIS just to make sure she has not missed out on anything.

But you are right indeed - December filer cases are taking a long time being adjudicated. I reckon the delay is most likely due to the workload of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Process, and the preparation for it.

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

I-129F approved in 180 days from NOA1 date. (195 days from filing to NOA2 in hand)

Interview took 224 days from I-129F NOA1 date. (241 days from filing petition until visa in hand)

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

So after 7 and a half months of nothing I get an RFE to re-submit my marriage licence. I am 1000% percent sure that I included it the first time, which means they lost it, what an absolute joke!!!

Nate and I finally got approved after almost six month since our case was transferred to CSC. I got the welcome letter today in the mail and a Text message informing us that my CG is on the way. Good times! Good luck everyone!

Our Journey begins

Met online in March 2009. Started dating through Skype in September 2009. Met in person on 03/14/2010. After many visits, both ways, Nate proposes to Liz on 8/10/2010.

K1 Visa processed at Vermont, approved in 106 days. Approved at CDJ on 19/09/2011

Applied for AOS on 12/27/2011

-AP/EAD combo card processed at Vermont, approved in 86 days. Approved on 3/22/2012; Card Received 3/30/2012

I'll trade the medal for a discounted ROC fee without blinking an eye. The petition/visa took less time for you than the AOS stage. :blink:

Btw, you're in Indiana, right? I just had my driver's license renewed and it's valid until 2019. I thought they went by the expiratin date on greencard but it might be as long as I can show proof og being LPR, at least that's how they explained it to me. If you have or get a driver's license, will you please let me know how many years yours is valid for? Just out of curiousity.
