I hope very soon. I would think for $1070 it wouldnt take this long. It would have been better to just have an interview since those seem to be 4 months or less. I have been waiting since Dec 1,2011, I put in a service request on June 15th and still nothing. I called today and the lady said I had to wait for 30 days from last service request before I can put in another. What a crock..... What can I do now? Also how do you know when certain ones got approved?

You can see our AOS timeline in my sign. But basically filed Nov 22, transferred Nov 28, card production ordered July 9. What you can do is get a congressman and/or senator to looking into your case for you. Also its not 30 days from when you asked for the earlier service request, but 30 days from when they replied. They seem to wait as long as possible to reply to drag that time out to. We contacted both a congresswoman and senator after our service request got the standard form letter response. I truly feel it kept us from waiting another month or two before getting my wife's card production ordered. May have just been our time though, but then I see those that don't get them involved waiting 8 to 10 months. As it was, we ended up waiting close to 8 months from the original mailing.

Hi guys, I contacted a congressman about my case and it was approved after 1 week!

If CSC doesn't get to your's in the first 6 months, it seems that's the way to get it before if goes all the way to 10 months. Congrats for getting out of the waiting game for a while.

Hang in there! Our timelines are very similar...if I can figure out how to put mine on here. :) I have not started calling yet...I figured I'll wait out a bit past 180 before calling in reinforcements. So what happens if you don't like your congressmen?

Filed: December 15, NOA dated December 19 and transferred to CSC January 25.

Total elapsed time between filing I-129F to GC in hand 569 days or 1 Year, 6 months, 22 days.

If you don't call in congressional support, it appears you'll be waiting about 10 or 11 months, if you've gone over the 6 month mark.

Well, today marks 6 months from the transfer to the date and no happy dance for us yet. It looks like my lovely Senator will be receiving a nice message from me. Any pointers on how to word it? Should I leave out the expressive words I wish to include about the government? Would that be in bad taste?

Well, what do you know...I actually know my Senator AND they have something already set up for things like this on their website complete with a consent release for them to contact the USCIS on our behalf (common problem you think?). So I'm writing them now. Hopefully this will get some results. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we will start seeing some more approvals come through for you guys!

So does my senators and congresswoman. I called and talked directly with the congressional aide that handles immigration issues. He had a request in to the USCIS the same day, after I faxed in the form. For the senator, I just sent things in and did not talk directly, they got the same reply to us that the congressional aide did, except it came about 4 days later. We had the approval notice 6 days (4 business days) after the reply to the congressional aide.

Well it's sad that we have to do that, really...but I figure I'm a taxpayer and I don't ask for much. :) In this case...it's really good this is an election year (you know what I'm sayin')?

Well she was running for President, and is a Tea Party darling. I heard she raised more money for reelection than any representative in the country. She scares the #$$% out of me personally, so I know I'd never cross her. She certainly managed to do some good for us in our case.

Anyone notice you can look up I-485's at the CSC now? All types are reporting 16.8 months as of this afternoon. But they still don't give the family based option.
