Chazzie, my friend, it's not that hard to complete those forms. But it's true, if you take more time and you don't complete it quite fast, you will have to do it again. Just concentrate and it will be ok. I have completed the DS-156 some time ago and was not that hard. But it could be annoying if you miss something and have to go back to fill it in again.

Kisses, my dear friend! I'm sure your NOA2 it's on the way. Check your case status daily. :P :*

I picked this information straight from the US Dept of State Website which I found in the FAQ Section for DS-160...

http://travel.state....forms_4401.html

13. When I apply for a nonimmigrant visa using the online DS-160, are additional forms required?

No, with two exceptions. When applying at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate that is using the new DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application, you will use only one (1) form. For Embassies and Consulates that have converted to this new process, the DS-160 has replaced all of the following forms: DS-156, DS-157, DS-158, and DS-3032, which are no longer necessary.

NOTE: The exceptions are Fiancé(e) Visas (K-1/2) which still require use of the forms DS-156 and DS-156K, and the Treaty Trader/Treaty Investor visa application, which is explained in #14 below.

There are other Visa types which fall into the list of exclusions but for K-1 Visa, forget the DS-160 and stick with the DS-156 and DS-156K

You guys are K-1ers and are going to interview at the U.S. Embassy in Manila, so you should not submit a DS-160. Instead, you will need two copies of the DS-156, one copy of the DS-156K, and two copies of the DS-157.

I agree with Tahoma. I recently had my interview and K1 beneficiaries aren't required to fill up the DS 160. Don't forget to paste your photos on the forms to avoid delays.

The instructions are vague. The question #13 asks if there are any additional forms required. The answer given in #13 says the "No" with exceptions being K1/K2 visa. But again, it does not say that K1 applicants are not to fill out the DS-160, it is only saying they are still required to use DS-156 and DS-156K.

According to the answers given by people going thru Philippines, this is probably not that relevant. I just thought I'd point out how the FAQ on the Dept of State's website is not clear.
