All we can do now is wait. Officer Caldwell said it could take up to 2 months to even decide. Wow! Our petition should be processed by then anyway without the expedite request. Oh well. :o( I received an email from the USCIS on March 17, 2018 stating that my petition was approved on March 16, 2018. I still haven't gotten a written copy of an NOA2 in the mail but I received an email already from the Dept of State (NVC) on April 3, 2018 with an attachment dated the same in which they stated that the NVC received my approved I-129F from the USCIS and that they have sent it to the US Embassy in Manila. Almost nothing has happened the way it should have in our case! Many letters and emails were delayed or sent to the wrong address. They must have entered my email as my fiancee's at the USCIS because I received all of my fiancee's emails and she got none. They told me to follow attachment instructions but the attachment was addressed to my fiancee. When I called the NVC, they said oops, and told me to just forward all emails to my fiancee and it would be fine. I scheduled our interview over the phone as the website wouldn't let me add our 2nd child to our family Visa application. It was quite stressful. I stayed up all night and took the next day off of work but the girl told me we were now all registered and ready for the medical exams so that was good. Then when we showed up at the clinic in Manila for the medical exams, guess what, they told us that we weren't registered at all online and therefore we had to complete all of the paperwork at the clinic which took some time with 2 kids. OMG!!! We did it all and at least we got the medical exams done in 2 days, no problems. Our oldest boy is a PWD and I'm sure that probably helped some however most of the time they would separate the PWD son and do his thing but then they would still make us all sit and wait in the regular line for my fiancee and our other boy so that kind of defeats the the whole PWD/SENIOR priority benefit anyway. The website said the next available interview appointment was April 23 so I got a leave of absence from my work and bought a flight to Manila for April 22nd but when I called to schedule the appointment the girl told me the first available appointment was May 14th. So now I am here in the hot, humid Philippines. I am receiving no paycheck. I have no medical benefits from my work while out on a leave of absence and we are waiting for 2 1/2 weeks for May 14th. We never received an appointment letter at my fiancee's address, instead a coworker called her and told her she just found out letter from the NVC in the mail at her work. It was the letter telling us we could prepare for and schedule our interview appointment now. We already did that 2 weeks ago. Lol I'll just be happy when this part of our journey is over. Good luck people!!!! 2018-05-14

I arrived at 9.50 my interview was at 10.30, I looked for the red tent located at the south entry point, there was a small que so I got in line. Once at the front I handed my passport over with my DS160 and then was directed inside to go through security like at the airport. Then I headed over to the main building where I lined up again and once inside I handed over the same documents, passport and DS160. I was then given a sticker this showed what number I was and what booths to sit on front of. I was then directed up the lift to level 1 and told to follow the immigrant arrow. Found my booth and sat down... once my ticket was called I approached the booth and handed over my documents in this order: Passport Birth certificate Police certificate Passport photos Adviate of support Then they took my finger prints and I was handed my chest X-ray and told to take a seat and wait again. This time I was waiting for my actual interview. I waited for about 20mins and could hear people getting approved... so nervous! Once my number appeared again I went up to another booth a bit like a bank but with more privacy and had my right hand finger prints taken again, the. I was told to swear to tell the truth... which o did. The lady was really lovely and friendly she asked: How did you guys meet? I told her a brief story that we met while I was travelling and how I’m a teacher so I was travelling the east coast for 6 weeks with my friends and we met and hit it off at the start of my trip. I said how my fiancé had managed to visit pretty often and how I had managed to visit him often too. The she asked where he lives and where we intend to live which I answered again.... then as she was typing she said Ok you are all set we are going to issue the visa and you should have it within 2 weeks. Yayyyyyy 2018-10-30
