I guess the question would be, since the episode where he emailed her breaking it off, has he continued to try to hide his actions from you? That would be the most telling sign. The fact that he cheated on an old girlfriend doesn't make him a lifelong cheater. There is no knowing what the circumstances were at the time. If he cheated on her but continued the relationship with her for a while after then that would be a bad precedent.
The only sound advice I could offer would be to talk sincerely and openly about this. Don't go in to the conversation accusing him of cheating or saying that you can't trust him, but rather just that you have some concerns and you want to discuss them. You are getting ready to give up everything you know and go to another country so he should be open and supportive and willing to reassure you that everything is fine. If he gets angry or dismissive (whether he is cheating or not) then that is a bad sign for the future anyway and better to know this now than find out after you move.

that's exactly what my ex said to me.. he don't like my son(was 3 years old that time)my ex was USC 37 years old.. i broke up with him because i can't deal with him being mean to my son.. he was married once no kid.. i love my son so much. and i can't live with out my son.BUT I CAN LIVE WITH OUT HIM.so i decided to break him up. .
recently i heard from a friend that he is now with a bar girl, and unfortunately the girl is pregnant.and he can't get rid of her .. he denied the pregnancy many times coz he is not the only man touched her..(she was just for bed time with payment) but the girl after him and the family threatened him..his life is miserable now,the girl hide his passport for he can't live the country.I FEEL SORRY FOR HIM BUT I TOLD HIM once" ONE DAY,THE LIGHTNING STRIKES STRAIGHT TO YOUR FACE"kARMA" i said that when he grabbed my 3 year old son and yelled him to shut up!... and i think it work.. "BUTI NGA SA KANYA LOL"
well im not saying i am happy what hes been through right now but i can say that, that would be awaken his selfish attitude...and i hope he is really the father and nice and responsible to the baby...
now i have wonderful responsible hubby..he loves my son as his own.and his 2 sons loves us back too... i am very very happy... Thank you God!

i didn't get any from my hubby last valentines day.(i'm expecting flowers or chocolates or cards). i feel upset but i understand him without even asking..i didn't ask and argue about it.. and i know for sure.. we both love each other so much.

i had the same situation also,i had an x american bf,broke up 2 years ago.. i found my love a year ago and we file k1 visa last dec. but since i RESPECT HIM AND LOVE HIM AS MUCH AS HE DO. I WAS TELLING HIM THE WHOLE TRUTH..WHY AND HOW WE BROKE UP. he understand me.. i told him before his first visit in PHilippines. be cause i want him to know all about my past from me not from other people.and now we dont have any problem regarding our relationship. and i understand some vj,s member advices.. take it.. im a filipina too and i know how important trust and honesty in a relationship. i can tell shes not honest. she is fake..you visited her and met her family and friends, well i can tell that she was telling everybody not to mention it to you.everything was a lie... so get rid of her..im sorry if i sound mean but i fell sorry for foreigners who met gold digger ambitious filpina. :(
