Actually, it led me to rip up my prepared presentation and go with a single page of handwritten bullet points. Knocked it out of the park at the interview board. 😁

it has nothing to do with the policy and everything to do with the person seen as implementing this policy. -
I didn’t believe this was a thing, until … https://www.pizzint.watch Apparently, the frequency and quantity of pizza ordered by the Pentagon has a direct correlation to the likelihood of military action. 🤪 I remember the olden days, when intelligence gathering was serious business. Now, the appearance of pineapple on a pizza might have serious national security implications! ☠️

How To Commit Democratic Party Suicide

Overtly racist? ✅ Insulting? ✅ Judgemental? ✅ Mind-numbing stupid? ✅ One day, hopefully sooner rather than later, it will click with the majority of the American population, that the Democrat Party is intrinsically, systemically racist and no amount of flim-flammery, spin, or mainstream media propaganda will be able to disguise the fact. 🙏🏻 Maybe then the Democrat Party will be able to reorient itself away from the left-wing extremist lunacy that is responsible for the overwhelming proportion of the division in this country. Or maybe I’m just being hopelessly optimistic. 🤷🏽 -

For once, I feel a twinge of sympathy for Ms. Crockett, who now has time fight the might of the DNC machine just to be given the chance to prolong her career in Washington. … Wait … … Nope, that twinge was my hamstring from when our big pup decided to redirect our path of travel when he saw a rabbit this morning. ☠️ -

Considering that the media continually push the idea that Democrat voters are better educated and generally smarter (🤣) than their Republican-voting counterparts, you would think that the Democrats leadership would be all for the SAVE Act. Or maybe the party leadership are too stupid themselves to make that logical connection. ☠️ -
And that is essentially the problem in this country. Politics has become so much about the power, influence, media headlines and clicks that people have forgotten, for the most part, about good governance, a convergence of ideas and improving the lives of the people government is intended to serve. Our representatives have forgotten that people elect them to serve, not to seek, from the moment they attain office, to remain in power. Voting against the policies of an incumbent purely out of animus is something that should never be applauded. If the policy is sound, works for the people and improves on what went before, it should be supported, no matter where it originated. And when a bill is opposed, despite having the support of over 70% of the opposing party’s supporters, those opposing it need to be reminded that they are there to represent, not to dictate. It seems more than a few politicians have forgotten that principle. ☠️

Not so sure she “crashed out” as you say. That would require these committee hearings to have a modicum of actual relevance to policy and governance. Which they do not, by any stretch of the imagination. i have yet to see video of a committee meeting where the committee members of either side were not intent on grandstanding and demeaning those being questioned, rather than asking substantive policy questions and furthering the dissemination of useful and pertinent information to those in attendance and watching. When presented with an endless string of attempted “gotcha” questions, inquiries wholly irrelevant to the purpose of the committee in which they’re asked and outright personal attacks, I really don’t blame those in the firing line for responding as the AG did. The American public deserve much better than the 95% complete hackery that occupies seats in Congress. ☠️

I could précis it down to one word, which would be the most appropriate word available in English, but its American interpretation would get me banned for a while. 🤫 He has no personal redeeming features. Throughout his political career he has been an obnoxious, overblown, self-aggrandising, political wannabe. Although unfettered immigration is a major issue, his brand of isolationism has been most detrimental to the political and financial stability of the UK. The problem is that the current Labour government is oppressive, inept and desperate to cling on until the next election, despite enormous buyers’ remorse amongst the electorate. The Conservatives are fading into obscurity, having royally made a hash of things last time around. The Liberal Democrat’s don’t even have to fade into obscurity. Which leaves Reform. And that is bad, bad, very bad. i might have to absentee vote for the Monster Raving Loony Party (again) next time around. ☠️

Sending AOC to the Munich Security Conference to establish her foreign policy credentials. Sending HRC to the Munich Security Conference to argue that America under the current President is bad, only for the Czech Deputy PM to embarrass her in front of a live audience. Sending any Democrat to the Munich Security Conference, when SoS Marco Rubio pulls out one of the best thought-out speeches of his career to undercut every Democrat talking point. Seriously, why were the Democrat speakers there in the first place? Most Europeans take intense pride in their own countries. The looks of contempt on most of their faces when they see US opposition politicians roundly disrespecting everything about their own country tells a tale. When the media tells you Europe hates the current administration, remember that’s the narrative they’re trying to sell, not the reality. -
Going solely by the title of the article, I’d say he’s being the master of understatement. I completely agree that PM Keir Starmer is a bad, bad, very bad, but the UK has avoided far worse in my lifetime. The Great Welsh Windbag (Neil Kinnock) and the author of the Longest Political Suicide Note in History (Michael Foot), immediately spring to mind. And then there’s Jeremy Corbyn. Unfortunately, unless there is some miraculous intervention, Nigel Farage is likely to be the next PM. That’s a scary thought. ☠️
