You're being ridiculous here, in my opinion. First, waiting to have conditions lifted is not that big of a deal at all, as you are with your spouse and have a letter that allows you to travel and work. Yeah, it's annoying, but if I had to dedicate resources to either A) ensure that people get their conditions lifted faster or B) ensure that people don't get butchered by the Assad regime and/or Al Qaeda militants operating in Syria, I would unhesitatingly choose B. Sorry if that impacts you, but that's the way it goes: there is a terrible war being waged in Syria and no one should be condemned to death just so you have the pleasure of getting your green card a couple weeks early. Learn to deal with it.
Second, your Peruvian friends are nuts if they think that Bush left the economy in good shape. You may not remember this, but in late 2008 the entire financial sector of this country absolutely imploded, causing fast amounts of wealth to be destroyed, the credit market to become extremely restricted, and unemployment to skyrocket. Next time someone asks you why American's aren't getting all nostalgic for the good old days back when we all saw our 401ks lose half of their value, you can tell them that.
Third, using Peru as some yardstick to measure the United States against doesn't make any sense. The reason why the sol has gone up has little to do with the economic health of the United States and more to do with Peruvian economic indicators. Since the fall of the Fujimorato in 2000 Peru has experienced tremendous growth in GDP. For a while they were averaging 9% a year. Peru had the fortune of having the largest-producing gold mine in the entire world right as the price of gold shot up as a consequence of the DJIA plummeting under Bush. Vast amounts of wealth were created. Peru has also had the ability to greatly expand its tourism sector, with Machu Picchu being declared one of the "new" wonders of the world, the crime situation being brought under control, and the internal conflict against the PCP-SL and MRTA brought to and end. As I'm sure you know, ever since about 1987 Peruvians have been paranoid of inflation with good reason and the government thus never prints up gobs of cash like other Latin American countries do, nor does it allow the state to grow. With a booming economy, a small state, and little money being printed, yeah, the Peruvian nuevo sol has gone up. If you measure the dollar against the Euro, a currency that people actually care about and spend, obviously you see the exact opposite effect -- the dollar has gone up and the Euro down since Obama took office.
In any event, I don't like Obama or Romney or Bush, and I think that USCIS does a pretty bad job at a lot of things. If someone wants to vote for Mitt Romney because he had to wait seven months to get his removal of conditions petition adjudicated, I guess that's his right, but it is extraordinarily silly. Tell me, what is Mitt Romney's plan to ensure that ROC petitions are adjudicated faster? I've looked at the RNC party platform and strangely I've missed the part about petition adjudication. Can you let me know what page its on? Thanks.

I remember when I filed my I-129f. Then the earthquake in Haiti happened and hundreds of thousands of Haitians became eligible for TPS. Everyone thought our petitions would grind to a halt. Didn't happen. Everything moved along just fine. I suspect the same will happen now.

No indication that there is a flood of applications coming anytime soon. But it's great talking points for politicians who want to stir up hatred and blame our economic problems on people who came here for the most part as infants, babies and small children and know only this country as home. ( I'm ready for the attack that will follow this post )

Oksana and I talked about this last night (after I regained my bearings). I explained how most American women would have been outraged that I admitted to seeing their daughter's breast, and I asked her why she was not upset and her reply made a lot of sense.
She said "You are a man, and a man is going to look at a pretty girl no matter what and it is normal. I trust you completely and if I thought there was a danger, I would never leave you alone with her. It is also a sign that my daughter trusts you."
Got to love a FSU woman's no-nonsense approach.

I sure wish some people knew an answer for sure before they post help for someone. It could really cause legal problems with the wrong advise.
#1. You can't get in a jam or have problems for filing, withdrawing and then filing again with another respondent (foreign fiancee) ---- I personally know guys who have been through this. USCIS understands that all relationships don't work.
#2 If you break up with your fiancee you need to file a "Motion to Withdraw I129F"
Contact the National Visa Center with a request to withdraw your petition. No explanation is necessary. Be sure to reference any confirmation numbers you received in response to your original petition. Send this letter certified.
Wait until you receive confirmation that your petition has been withdrawn. Be patient, as notification of withdrawn petitions can take some time.

You shouldn't really worry too much about filing another K1 in the future. You never know where and in what circumstances you will meet your future spouse.
However, canceling a K1 is not a barrier from filing future ones.

I will give you th answers but you will not like it.
Your husband needs to fix this. He needs to get you your own place even if it means working 20 hours a day at three jobs, get your AOS filed immediately even if he has to borrow money from someone other than his family, then get you a drivers permit and teach you to drive, arrange for neighbors to give you rides if necessary. HE needs to get his WIFE out of this predictament. He needs to make his WIFE a priority. I can tell you that MY UKranian wwife would never tolerate such nonsense, she would probably break my neck in my sleep and be on the next flight back to Donetsk. She doesn't NEED this kind of nonsense.
We lived in a VERY rural area when Alla arrived and I had to work all over the state. I had a network of local drivers ready for her when she arrived so she could begin her degree rogram right away (5 days after arrival and she wanted to know why she had to wait that long) She started volunteering for the local (40 miles away) hospital right away and still does once per week for 3 hours. It turned into a very lucrative PAYING job for her. I had a different driver available for each day of the week that could at least get her to town where she could catch a bus to school. I normally drove her but if I could not, then a phone call the night before was all it took. She had a masters degree in teaching ENGLISH in less than three years after arrival and could not always go full time to classes. Not bad at all.
This is a matter of not being prepared. It is your husbands job to fix this. Tell him to grab the knobs and do his job. I am guessing that throughout the process he checked every day to see if the case was "touched" and whined repeatedly that it was taking too long. Not long enough apparently.
For those members that think the VISA is the hard part....

There have been many discussions on VJ about this topic. Your spouse will have no status here in the USA and as said earlier can't work or get a drivers licence. Some have said here that she is open to being arrested by ICE because once her I-94 expires and you have not filed AOS she has no status in the USA. Long story short -- File AOS now.

Great news! Prepare yourself for a happy new life.
Now, get to work cleaning up the house. Seriously, you should do all you can to get things ready so that she can relax and allow her body clock to reset. She will be excited but exhausted as well. Give her time to rest and be patient. She will need time to get use to an environment that is quite different and not much of her native language spoken.
If you haven't found any Russian stores near you already, start looking. It will help her to feel more at home as she will likely get homesick in about a month after arriving.
Your fiancee will enjoy our Thanksgiving as long as you don't expect her to fix it. Do like I did when my wife arrived six year ago and buy one of those store prepared meals unless you are going to your parents for Thanksgiving. My wife arrived on the 17th of November six years ago and I'm still 1HappyGuy.
You should expect misunderstandings, so relax and work on communications. Even if her English is good, you will still have some stumbling blocks along the way. And remember, the 90 days start the day she arrives. A cheap and effective marriage can be found at the county offices.
Be sure to come back to ask questions as we have all been through this and have lots of experience. You are going to love this time.
Congratulations and best of luck the rest of the way. It gets easier from here because she is with you.

    This is just getting silly.
It is unlawful for the employer to demand to see her green card when she has already complied with the I-9 requirements by providing her driver's license and social security card.
Let's look at this from a practical viewpoint. What is the big deal in providing the green card to the employer? Show it to them, be done, and go back to work. Don't turn a molehill into a mountain. Not showing the green card is going to create problems at work. Is it worth it to defend the principle that it is unlawful for the employer to demand to see the green card? Does anyone want more useless ###### to deal with at work when it can painlessly be avoided?

I had the same emotions, I totally understand. Because you are thinking this way, it's a real indication that you see this in the right way. I remember my wife's family crying and hurting. Tanya's mom told me that Tanya would need to rely on me for everything and she was coming to America "like a blind kitten" ... It blew me away. Now they still miss her of course but they are happy that Tanya is safe and secure with me.
This woman loves you as much as she does ... is leaving her whole life behind ... always be the man she deserves.
