  1. We applied for the K-1 in 04/05. I don't know if the rules have changed since then, but I think your bank statement stating when account opened and current balance should be enough. They just want proof that you have sufficient funds to support your spouse and that you qualify with 125% above the poverty level.

I remember writing specfic things I would support my future husband with such as food/clothing,shelter, medical support. ect.

Again, they want to make sure the beneficiary will not be living of US funds while in the country under the Visa and AOS...

    good luck,

  2. Now that made me tear up!!

    Wish I could rescue him...

Animal Control makes me so MAD!! They now call themselves Animal Care, but yet here in Tucson a Chow was stuck in the mud after a storm. It was rescued by several caring ladies. They called Animal "Care" . The shelter let the dog lay there in the Kennel for 3 days until another caring soul called a Vet to see what was wrong with the dog, but then it was too late.

The dog was already passed being able to get well from Tick Fever.

I had an experience myself this summer, a stray pit bull got onto the property I was dogsitting at . My client owns 2 dogs, 4 cats.

The pit bull was scared and couldn't get off the property, it had cactus in it's coat, and it would not let me approach it without me getting bit.

I put out some food and water and the next morning called "Animal Care".

It was sleeping in the car port and shaking from fright the next morning at 5 AM.

They said can the dog get out of the carport. I told them I thought it was sick and it had cactus all over it.

It took them 7 hours to get up there to get the dog .

I am sure they took the dog back to the Kennel and I really truly hope someone took care of it.

I felt so sad, but I needed to protect myself and then animals I was taking care of for my client.

  3. Its a bit much calling them whackos. Most of them are quite normal. I find the truly whacked out ones are clinging to environmentalism like a religion and have somehow reached a point of desperation. Not unlike Bush when he goes into one of his praying trances after a particularly rough cabinet meeting.

Cows are a byproduct of modern society. They produce huge amounts of methane and use tones of energy to produce relatively small amounts of food. I don't think Id call the study of such issues whacky. Especially if there is something we can do to their diet to reduce the amount of methane produced.

The press of course picks up on the fart joke every time they run the story. I guess they are appealing to the masses.

    Well said.

I still like my idea of tubing the cows and capturing all that gas and use it to power the world. :P

    :energetic:

That's what I would think rather than reducing the emissions.... you can tax my husband or hook him up too while your at it he's always farting in bed.

  4. What sweet parents you have! As far as his parents they will have to live with his choice.

I know my husband's father was not so supportive of him leaving a pretty worry free life in Canada, but of course it made my husband grow up some what.

He is ten years younger than me and had never really left home for long periods of time.

I on the other hand have always been independent and have never had parents to rely on.

Good Luck with your visa process.

  5. The polygimist sect is a very small percent. They are not recognized by the official mormon church. There is a small town in Northern Arizona near Page that also is known for it's polygimists.

I think those kids were kind of put up to that demonstration, because from what I have observed the girls have no rights and are married off at a very young age like 10-12 years old to old geezers in there 50's and 60's.

Once I was at a campground in Northern AZ and a couple of vans pulled up... Lots of kids, women and not a lot of guys. The women and girls were dressed in old fashioned clothing and the boys were dressed normally.

I thought oh, a reinactment group , until one guy said to his kid go talk to MA and he said "which one....

  6. I visited Seattle Ten years ago. I didn't have a car and got around okay, but the friend I was staying with drove me out of the city to the mountains.

I remember a monorail downtown by the space needle, buses, and of course the Ferry.

Seattle was beautiful in August it didn't rain when I visited and being from the desert a little rain would be a change.

I guess if you can cope with drizzle and rain.

I would think about moving there.

I am sure things have changed alot since I visited.

  7. (L) very cute, reminded me of those short clips at the movie theatre they used to show before Disney movies when computer animation was just starting out.

I still love the Pixar desk lamp animation short.

  8. Yes, I know I didn't change the time to my time on the computer. It's just funny to see that it's only 10 PM here and most of the topics say started yesterday because it's 2 hours later whereever this forum originates.

    Have a great Friday everyone!!!!
