I suppose most moderate Muslim keep quite so they don't have to worry about events like this happening to them or their families. Pretty bad when you have to watch what you say all the time lest a neighbor or hard-core family member decides an honor killing is needed.

Terrorism is just one of the many attributes this particular religion has excelled at bestowing on the world and not my main concern.
Every country where it gains a majority its not just a religion, its a way of life. Every country where it is the majority squashes the rights and free thought of others, punishments become more cruel, progress in the sciences stops, and the only wealth it creates is pumped straight out of the ground. I think one day it will achieve the status of innocuous existence but that day is not upon us yet.
If we could travel back to the darkest most evil days of Christianity we would find most Christians were good if not scared people just trying to get by. The same is true for most Muslims today. That does not mean that Christianity was in a good place, I don't think Islam overall is in a good place today.
If the bulk of those in the religion *here* are committed to not changing my way of life and not changing the laws where I live to suit there religion then I am willing to reciprocate and speak out when I think they are being singled out. I'm undecided at this point if that is going to happen.
