  1. Short visits are good. When you have a green card, you cannot be outside the US for more than a year, otherwise that would be seen as abandoning your status as a LPR. She should be fine. I assume you both have submitted Change of Address forms to USCIS?
  2. Found this on their website - they don't take phone inquiries, they had to suspend taking public inquiry phone calls, presumably because they were inundated with them - you will have to use their web inquiry form: I get an error when using CEAC. Please visit https://nvc.state.gov/troubleshooting, which provides information on known systems errors currently impacting NVC applicants. Also please see https://nvc.state.gov/ceacfaqs. If your error is not referenced, please be sure to include screen shots of the error when submitting a written inquiry at https://nvc.state.gov/inquiry.
  3. For your mom, copy of her birth certificate is required. For your dad, copy of birth certificate and marriage certificate. They mention this in the I-130 instructions for showing relationship to their petitioner.
  4. Ok, my thinking here is if USCIS thought your stepson is in the US, you would have already submitted the I-485 with your I-130 from the beginning. They got to the end of processing and approved your I-130 without asking for anything else from you...right? In that case, then now you just have to wait to get to the NVC stage (Part 2) and prepare for him to go through his local emabssy for visa processing (Part 3). Congratulations on getting approved.
  5. Guess the main question is: where is your stepson now? Is he out of the U.S. or is he in the U.S.?
  6. On the website it says if applicable. You could try to bring your old film but I am thinking they will take another one during the medical anyway.
  7. If you represented yourself as married on your mom's petition, then of course a marriage certificate would be required. All part of their verification process. I am thinking you are right about the site being under maintenance - stuff gets wonky sometimes during patching and upgrades. Check again on Monday or Tuesday.
  8. If I read that post correctly it is saying you can't pay the AOS fee until the DS-260 is filed.
  9. I found this post. Maybe part of the answer is there somewhere?
  10. Another thing I can think of is sometimes there are systems that will not behave correctly unless you are using a computer/laptop - sometimes systems do not want transactions completed through a mobile phone browser.
  11. Not sure what is going on. Was there a checkbox or two that maybe needed to be enabled on the screen before the payment could proceed? Were there required fields you left blank? Usually those are tagged with an asterisk or highlighted with a colored border.
  12. Might need to update the screen shot, the link appears broken.
  13. Sorry to hear that. If she is unable to present proof of immunization, she will be given vaccines that are age-appropriate. Very likely it will be Tdap (whooping cough) and tetanus shots, at the minimum - and all shots on the same day. I am not a fan of needles myself. When I am due for a vaccine, I always look away when I am being given a shot. Wishing her the best.
  14. It's a little work, but checking it every so often online will probably give you a better chance of success. With the holidays coming, slots could fill up fast because Embassy staff could possibly ask for time off during those periods. Hope you can find her a spot.
  15. If you are on Facebook, there is a Philippine group that actively monitors open interview slots: https://www.facebook.com/groups/IR5VISA
  16. You will need the NOA you received for your Mom's petition. Where was the petition filed? You will find the name of the Service Center on the bottom part of the NOA for your Mom. What was the result - If you go to https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do and enter your Mom's number (starts with IOE - found on her NOA), then it should be Actively Reviewing If you have filed multiple petitions, I would suggest you create a Word document and list all the information above of EACH sibling you submitted a petition for, and submit that as a supporting document.
  17. To any November 2021 I-130 filers for parents who are still waiting for approval - any news? We filed my mom's I-130 in November 30, 2021 - it has been stuck on actively reviewing since March 4, 2022.
  18. Have to agree with this. That is the best solution to your problem. In theory you could get his written consent (and maybe notarized) but the big downside is he can take that back any time.
  19. Hi Anne. You may want to update your profile with your regional info. That will help folks who want to answer your questions. Mainly it is asking for proof that your child is legitimate (meaning, he was conceived while you and his dad were married). So that means your marriage certificate (to his father) plus your son's birth certificate.
  20. I don't know if they have resumed this but the Philippine Embassy offered Consular Services prior to the pandemic. They travel to different cities throughout the year so that they would be accessible to Filipinos living nearby who can't afford to or have the time to go to the embassy. I would check out their website and see if they have resumed that service. Last time I had gone to Jacksonville to get my Philippine passport renewed. I have since become a US citizen, will likely need to attend a service to reacquire my Philippine citizenship.
  21. Hi there. If she has just gotten a new job, the only way her new salary will help is if you wait until her 2022 taxes are filed, or turn in her W-2.
  22. Yes I think it is just her current address. Petitioners have to show 5 yesr history. Enter her name as it appears on her birth certificate and other government issued documents. Same with her address. Yes, upload copies of her birth certificate, marriage certificate (with your stepfather), proof that she was divorced or became a widow, your birth certificate, her passport, your passport, and any civil documents that pertain to you (marriage certificate or proof you were never married or proof of your divorce, if applicable) yes, you have to include all children (regardless of their age) - as well as yourself to show your relationship to your biological parent and your siblings.
