After maybe 30 mins with the officer this morning in Des Moines, my application has been "recommended for approval"! 
So, a little more waiting to find out when I have to attend the oath ceremony. Sad that I couldn't have it same day, but in Iowa, I get they'd want to have a big group before doing the ceremony.

Good news today - I FINALLY have an interview date!

I had my interview this morning at 7:30.  Check in process was very quick and easy.  
Interviewer had me verify my name, address and SSN.  Then asked the 6 questions, I got them all right. (I don’t remember them all because it was so fast). 
  He went through my application and asked about my name change (I was reverting back to my Maiden name) and mentioned that I didn’t need it because my divorce decree stated that my name was to be reverted back.  
Then he said my application was approved and would I be able to come back today for 11:30 Oath Ceremony. He mentioned in conversation that they were doing same day oaths due to the back up. All 10 people who I walked in with to wait for the interview were at the oath ceremony. 
Oath ceremony was very quick, they had 50 of us at a time and took our Green cards and we said the oath and after a few minutes we had our certificates.  
I was so excited to get a same day oath as I really thought it wasn’t a possibility but here we are!  YAY!

That's my FOIA submitted. So back to the waiting game, but hopefully something will happen THIS YEAR.

Well, tomorrow is the "approximate" day til my case decision. 
Fingers crossed I get my interview date and it's not at some ridiculous hour as it is a 3 hour drive for me across the state. 

I don't know, the whole system, especially since the start of COVID, has been so unpredictable.
Some of us have been waiting over a year and others that applied this year are already done! I don't get it. 
I procrastinated and waited 10 years to apply so another month or so doesn't really bother me.

Just checked mine a few moments ago and still the same. 
No update in case status, just that my application was received and a notice sent. 
In documents, my bio reuse dated Jan 20/2021. 
*sigh* that's been almost three months. 
No point in calling, I'll just be told to keep waiting. 
Fingers crossed something will happen soon. 

Checked my account earlier this week, as I've been doing everyday since March began, and my estimated completion date that WAS this month, has now disappeared.
The "We are taking longer than expected to process your case" message still remains and the initial message under my case status is still that they have received my application and a receipt notice has been mailed. I'm a bit disheartened that I have to continue to wait.
Oh well, I waited almost 10 years to apply, I guess I can wait longer.

Applied online May 6th 2020. JUST went to check my case status - my completion is March of 2021 - still no notice of biometrics.

Just checking in - Filed May 6th and still waiting for ANY update. 
Application has been received, $ taken and nothing. Kinda sucks seeing as I'm in a state that never really shut down at the height of Covid.
Been over 4 months. As it stands right now, I'm to be processed by March of 2021.

Alrighty. Well, I was on hold for 45 mins to talk to someone for 5. Per usual. 🙄
Anyways, spoke with the gentleman with a lovely southern accent who said that my case is processing normally - no red flags 👍🏻- and that I would just have to keep on waiting. 
I understand the backlog with all that's going on, but still, after 4 months and no update? Hence, I wanted to call and hear it from an ACTUAL PERSON. When it's my turn for biometrics, I'll be scheduled for it, he said. 
So, pretty much the response I thought I'd get. So that's that, I guess. 
Just wait. 

Same for me. Filed May 6th online. I'll be going to Des Moines... eventually.
