  2. Well Li technology, in the past they have bought anything new. There are batteries with 10,000 cycles so much longer than any car would last,
  3. Why not just rearrange your vacation?
  4. Meanwhile, in Germany, more than 100,000 workers at nine Volkswagen factories across Germany, including its EV-only factory, went on strike this strike this week for a few hours on Monday, bringing assembly lines to a grinding halt in the battle over the slashed pay, lost jobs, and the automaker’s future. The strike comes after weeks of collective bargaining negotiations in which the Volkswagen didn’t back down from its plan to potentially slash thousands of jobs and close factories in Germany – a first in the automaker’s 87-year history in the country. Volkswagen plans to close at least three factories, lay off thousands of workers, and trim pay for those remaining by 10%, all as it fights to stay alive amid stiff competition from China. https://electrek.co/2024/12/06/volkswagen-to-move-production-of-id-buzz-out-of-germany/ interesting times

  7. An alternate approach https://www.cnn.com/2024/12/06/style/pamela-anderson-no-makeup-gotham-awards/index.html At the annual Gotham Awards on Tuesday night, Pamela Anderson arrived on the red carpet in a strapless champagne-hued Oscar de la Renta satin gown. As the “Baywatch” star turned to pose for the wall of photographers, a larger-than-life bow peeped out from the back of her dress. Yet her main accessory was her fresh, barely made up face. It has been over a year since Anderson publicly gave up her typical celebrity glam. Once synonymous with smokey cat-eyes and a fiercely lined set of lips, the actor made headlines in 2023 after she attended Paris Fashion Week wearing little more than a dab of moisturizer. The decision was born out of Anderson’s desire not to overshadow her outfit for the Isabel Marant show, but there was a bigger point, too. In an interview with Vogue published in October 2023, Anderson reflected “I know I wasn’t making strides towards world peace, but I was making a statement…” and added: “In this day and age, do we even know what a face looks like anymore? This is it.”
  8. CASTLE ROCK, Colo. — Just weeks after Mayor Mike Johnston said he would send local law enforcement to the county line to stop federal agents from enforcing President-elect Trump's mass deportation plan, the Castle Rock Town Council unanimously passed a motion that essentially says the opposite. "I would like to please motion to direct our town attorney and attorney staff to begin working on a declaration that would be in support of any, all efforts to include anything that we can do with our law enforcement personnel to support the deportation of illegal migrants if and when that occurs at the request at the incoming president," said Castle Rock Councilman Max Brooks, who initiated the motion. https://www.9news.com/article/news/local/local-politics/castle-rock-enforce-federal-immigration-policy/73-fafc1cf8-dc9f-4aad-8486-5daf3fbbd3f3
  9. Get the Lawyer to transfer it somewhere else, ps I know Turkey is heavily backlogged.
  10. I had not seen the incident, nor any commentary, I was just going from some initial description of the event, hanging around in a Starbucks where there were cameras. I would add a couple of things, a Suppressor is not that common in the US, needs a special license to get one, and maybe that is much more a line of enquiry than the gun. Not sure if they know the model. Agree about the range, looks like he could have got a lot closer. Wonder if he used regular ammo?
  11. I have no idea about Texas but I have sort of been involved twice now in this situation and in both cases there has been a massive difference in the School systems, and where you go can influence where you can go to as you work your way through the system. I doubt it makes much difference to the gifted from an educational perspective, they will come through anyway, but in both situations that did not apply.
  12. Whatever he is he is not a Pro. What is the point of the NFA if you just get pardoned?
  13. varies by office what is a border crossing overstay
  14. Reminds me of how a lot of Double Glazing was sold back in the day, well with a few tweaks. Now is the product good or bad, well good and most of us have it. It seems especially in CA I assume elsewhere that in their enthusiasm to go green, lower case as it is not really green you could basically use the grid as your battery, and they had very expensive electricity, so install panels and feed it back to the grid during the day and take full credit at night. So a lot of systems were sold with financing at no cost to the property owner due to financing, installer made money, finance company made lots of money and poor people who could not afford to play subsidized it. Now the cost of the equipment has plummeted, the grid gives you a very small credit and paying the installer and funding it does not add up. Install it yourself or with help, have a battery back up, now that does. Especially if you are paying nearer 50c a Watt not 15c where I am.
