    It will be sometime but yes you will get a chance to appeal. The cases I have seen all have been quite different, but you are looking for NOID/NOIR.

    Military being deployed is a more likely reason. Never heard of anyone being expedited for being an atheist, everyone would become an atheist if that was the case. The big delay factor comes after the interview and I can only expect that getting worse. Never heard of expediting through the White House, Congressperson yes but just a way of moving it on.

    Unless I have missed something we do not know what the precise issue is and are guessing. So any suggestion as to what to do next is a guess. Well apart from file the waiver as that option seems to have been given.
