    How would they enter? I assume they entered as Visitors probably VWP, Journos seem confused in this area. Would not surprise me if there is not an overstay in there.

    In my mind the logical action would have been to refuser had admission and send her back to Canada, however this seems not possible where the person is not Canadian. Similar ish to the Canadian Lady who sought entry from Mexico on an a TN.

    Who knows, maybe they are referencing whatever visa she entered with? Travel Document, what does that mean, current ESTA, Passport? Also begs the question if a child could be released to AN other, would not Child Protection Service have to be involved? Wonder where the Father is in this.

    There are acres of coverage, many Journalists have contributed but none of them seem to have been able to supply basic facts. Humanitarian Parole is supposed to be temporary, not sure if it applies for someone with clear immigrant intent, VAWA of course can be applied for from say NZ. She sent the 2 children home, allegedly for a holiday which implies they want to come back, how?

    Unusual for someone with Swedish Nationality to be in long AP. my money is on the Iranian aspect.

    Not retaliation, more a what do we do, just thinking the easiest way out would be a simple refusal. But it could also unstick it. Shame your Employer will not cover the cost, it is after all them who want you to go to the US.

    Not sure if a WoM would work on a NIV, after all they could just deny it instead. But on the other hand there seems no other option and if your Employer os willing toi pay, well might as well.

    There is no timeline for AP, 18 months does seem quite long even for Iran. Does your Employers Lawyer have any comment?

    She had EAD had not received AP and left without any way of reentering Asked for Humanitarian Parole not sure on what basis.
