Well...the kid....she amazed herself all right....
She amazed me! 
She's the Spelling Bee Champion  of her school. 
Knocked them all down 1 by 1. 
Third graders, fourth graders, fifth graders. 
She spelled "Pennant", and "Recognition" consecutively for the win...

A lot gets lost in the translation, I feel. I hope the fabulous afternoon with the MIL and her Doc in some small way makes up for the worry she has put you both through, the angst over whether or not to bankrupt yourselves in order to fund this ridiculous treatment she doesn't need. 
 
 

My MIL is cool but it's frustrating that she never tells any of us about her labored breathing (due to life long asthma) until it's so bad that she almost has to be hospitalized. At that point we have to pay the cost of immediate health care out of pocket because Colombia has 2 tiers of healthcare. The first is to wait about 2 months to have any issue taken care of via the relatively inexpensive health service (insurance) that most people have. And tier 2 is "we can help you immediately, but first hand over all of the Colombian pesos currently in your possession, and then go to the bank and get some more."

Karma is alive and well and was at the hospital for MIL'S heart doctor appointment yesterday...
 
She spent the last few days telling us and everyone on FB that her congestive heart failure is getting worse and that if she doesn't get this new medication she'll die soon.
 
We get to the hospital and go in to see the doctor - she starts by asking MIL how her breathing is and she gets her big smug grin and says ' they finally gave me a round of antibiotics for the bronchitis, I've had bronchitis a long time but they kept missing it, but it's better now, I'm breathing fine'
 
Doctor looks at her and says 'you didn't have bronchitis 2 weeks ago when I saw you' (I'm smiling inside now).
MIL tells the doctor 'it comes and goes' (I heard her eyes roll 😂)
 
Doctor turns to us and asks what questions we have, I look blankly at her and advise her that all we know is that MIL has told us that her congestive heart failure is getting worse and that she needs an expensive new medication.
 
Doctor didn't even try to hide her eye roll, got real close to MIL and very plainly told her 'YOU DO NOT HAVE CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE'
She went on to say that her heart is in very good shape for her age and the problems she does have are common at 84.
 
MIL is not having any new medication and her doctor isn't likely to be fooled by her dramatics again, it was a fabulous afternoon 😁

Hey I work better than that. 
So I needed to use a socket saver. Once I cleaned that out I was able to see.
Well I saw enough that the Hillbilly called a plumber.  I will not crawl under the house in any shape or form and the rats ate out the elbow that I so nicely cleaned up on my end. 
 
 
 
Oh in better news. I hit the jackpot Walmart sent me a check for 2900 buckeroos! 
They said I only need to cash it and take 500 for myself. Head on over to Walmart and be a secret shopper and get 3 money orders and send them to them. 🙄
 
They really need to up their game. I live in Arkansas Walmart country. SO why on earth would they send me a check that is from TX but than mailed it out from LA 🙄
I bet that Poor Prince got his money tied up in Walmart money orders and needs help getting them out
