Hello there, I’m not in San Jose, but I’m out of Chicago and I filed August 26th and I have gotten those darn no update emails for about 7 or 8 time. It sucks. Mine I’m looking at 11 more months. They love playing with us. Good luck hopefully soon. Anyone from Chicago field office get interview or in line. Inquiring minds want to know lol.

They send you those emails to let you know that they have not forgotten about you. I guess you could look at this way; at least they did not lose your application! I know the surge of excitement when seeing that you've received something from them, only for them to tell you that "we have taken no action on your case". It's disappointing, yes. But you're still in line. You're still there. Patience! :)

Depending on when you get naturalized the IO said he wants to try to fit me in Dec'18. During our small talk I mentioned my parents and inlaws visiting us for Christmas and he remembered that. So he took my cell and said he will call if he can get me approved and slot me into an earlier oath ceremony so my family can attend it.

Mine's this Thursday, so highly doubt will be same day :(

I completed my interview today. The notice says it is a N-400 interview but I brought my wife along with me just in case the IO wanted to interview us together since we also have a pending I-751. When we started the IO said that we will be doing a joint I-751 so he will have my wife stay with me for that part and when he is ready to move on to the N-400 he will walk her out. The IO mentioned that local offices do not typically process I-751 since it is a completed at the Service Centers but he said since there is a backlog and he cannot proceed with the N-400 he will be doing both.

We proceeded with the I-751 and once completed we moved on to my N-400 without my wife. All the questions were routine and nothing out of the ordinary. We went through some of my infractions and evidences and updated my application with travel info since I applied for N-400. At the end he told me that I passed my test and he will be recommending both my application for approval. The I-751 will need to be electronically transferred to my local office before he approves it and the N-400 will be approved after he can have a second officer review it. He said that N-400 are normally reviewed by two people to avoid mistakes.

My field office has an oath ceremony every week and he said the next available one will be in Jan'19. But he said to hang tight and monitor my progress online for the approval.

Awwww I won't be able to get Naturalized with you?? 😞

  4. I too, am a divorcee that arrived on a K-1, divorced due to irreconcilable differences (he cheated on me, tried to gaslight me in that regard, and his entire family is toxic), and applied as a 5-year resident. Except it was 9 years for me when I finally applied for Naturalization.

My interviewing officer thought I was still married during the N400 interview, and when I corrected her, she expressed her doubts about the legitimacy of my marriage as the 10yr Green Card was issued only 6 months before the divorce. I explained the situation to her, and she understood. Asked me the civics and history questions, and congratulated me, I had passed.

I did not tell him, nor his family that I was applying, or when I was applying. I would recommend you do the same. Leave that information off of any social media, emails, everything that they may have tentacles hidden. If you want to tell someone, tell someone you can trust. In my case, I only told the very few people I trust, and ask them to write me a recommendation letter (which is completely optional).

Funny thing about all of this, my Naturalization Oath ceremony will be held on his birthday.

Speaking of boring, where's Tarklar and Darklar, and Shrimpie...

Can't speak for the other two, but I was in a dead zone over the weekend in Eastern Oregon. There's a cell tower where I was, but it's only for Snake River PCS users, not T-Mobile.

It's so relaxing there, and I slept for Many hours, but I need Many more hours.

    How was everyone's Thanksgiving weekend?

  6. Got a vape mod pre-嘿星期五, was on sale for 三十五美元 (Many dollars)  instead of 八十八美元 (2.5Many dollars). It was so crowded, but the crowd died down half an hour after the sale began. No drama, no elbowing. Pretty chill.

I also got 两个 dresses for 十七美元 (0.5Many dollars). No more dollars for any more shopping.

How dare you perform an admittedly unnecessary procedure on him, huh P ma'am?!

You sew him back together this minute, right now ma'am!

He was snipped before we met. And it was his choice, and his alone, so can't even blame his ex-wife for that 😂

    Adoption is not an option?

Not at that time, no. Cheaper to D.I.Y. if you know what I mean...

Not now, either. Mr Lobster just got fired from his job. This day is getting from bad, to worse.

I'm trying a new recipe for lasagna. It's called cowboy lasagna. It's all together now and cooking. Normally I like to just make my simple lasagna but hey why not live on the wild side

    What's in it!??!

She expects me to pack up all the kids and I mean all of them even the ones that have their own life and moved out🙄 Oh yes I can see how well that will work out for them.

I'm infertile (which was one of the reasons for my divorce, and my depression) and my mom (still) keeps pressuring me to have kids. In my head, I'm all like, "WITH WHOSE BODY!?!?!" I'm infertile, and my boyfriend Mr. Lobster is "snipped", so it's a double whammy, yo. No kids coming from us. Ever.

I know we have to move back to the US and I‘m excited about it

but having a husband with epilepsy  and the health care system in the states just scare the $)(|+ out of me

and I guess I needed to be reminded 1.5 weeks before going back to the US that epilepsy is nothing one should joke with 😭

    /hug

  11. Also, it looks like it's not an isolated case; if two of you are having issues, you can pretty much be sure that plenty of others are having the same problem with the website.

My suggestion, keep trying to log on every day until the 500 error goes away. If the 500 error still occurs, call Customer Service. Chances are, someone else has already reported this problem and they are aware of it, and they will probably work on it at some point. Keep in mind that this is the DHS we're talking about, don't put too much stock in them doing things in a timely manner.
