  1. Ok so as a K-1 applicant you will not get an invoice number for NVC... everything from this point forward will be through the embassy and whatever website Montreal uses to have you register and schedule an appointment. Below is a link to the Immigrant Visa procedures for Montreal - You will follow them because all the embassies treat K-1 Visa applicants as Immigrant Visa applicants https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/MTL-Montreal.html
  2. Today's stats: May 28, 2025 22:15 MDT November 2024 Filed I-485 Stats • Approved: 7,003 (+116) • Denied: 1087 • FingerprintScheduled: 89 • InterviewCancelled: 283 • InterviewScheduled: 10,752 (+37) • Processing: 21,669 (-173) • Received: 602 • Rejected: 103 • RFE: 438 • Terminated: 173 • Withdrawal: 30 • Others: 38
  3. There was no email to either beneficiary or petitioner from NVC with a PDF file attached? You might want to check your spam folders. That would be the K1-FTP letter. As far as the process for Montreal, I am not 100% sure if they make you wait for a "Packet 3" email or not to start the process.
  4. Make sure you continue to pay attention to the I-129F case status. When it changes to "Case Has Been Sent to the Department of State", give it a few days and then make the public inquiry with the NVC here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html When you make the public inquiry with them, there is a button to attach files. Attach the bio page of her passport and the Approval Notice of the I-129F. In that inquiry, you should also ask them to update the email addresses for you and her by saying something like: I would also like to make sure you have the petitioner and beneficiary emails updated in your system as follows: Petitioner: email@email.com Beneficiary: email@email.com I have attached the approval notice for my form I-129F for your review.
  5. It's very common and in fact filing the N-400 while I-751 is pending is often what gets a slow I-751 process moving because the I-751 has to be approved in order to adjudicate the N-400
  6. Yeah I'm starting to think that they do things in batches, if that makes sense to you?
  7. I haven't heard of anyone doing an inquiry for the K1-FTP but with your case number you can check the status of your case on the CEAC Case Tracker and if it says "At NVC" then there's no point in doing an inquiry. If it says "In Transit" or "Ready" and you haven't got the email with the letter attached then see if they'll send you a copy. It would be the DS-160 and it is valid for 1 year from the date you submitted it - Most people wait until case is ready at the embassy in case any info changes but it's not a requirement. We did Jaycel's DS-160 when her case status changed to "Ready" in the CEAC Case Tracker
  8. Yes it is. Patience and knowledge are your best weapons to combat this. Become an A+ student of the processes ahead of you.
  9. You do not log into CEAC as a K-1 applicant. You will not receive an invoice number. You can check your case status here to see when it is sent to the embassy and marked as "Ready": https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx When it is sent to the embassy, you will receive an email from NVC with a letter attached called the K1-FTP. Hang onto that as the beneficiary may need it for medical exam scheduling, etc.
  10. The instructions do state to submit 6 months of paystubs as supporting evidence of current income. I would follow the instructions to the letter in this current environment of enhanced scrutiny of immigration benefit applications. For Jaycel's AOS application I submitted a full 6 months of my paystubs with the I-864. I would highly recommend becoming an A+ student of the I-864 instructions as issues with that form are the most common reasons for RFE, 221g refusals and denials.
  11. I have never seen an instance where an apostille is required for filing the I-130 - If the officer adjudicating the form has doubts, maybe they might request that? I've not heard of that request ever happening either. USCIS follows the DoS reciprocity tables for civil documents and this is what they have for Birth Certificates from Ukraine (Link Below): Birth Certificates Available Fees: < USD 1 Document Name: Svidotstvo pro narodzhennya (Свідоцтво про народження) Issuing Authority: District or Regional State Registration of Civil Status Offices Special Seal(s) / Color / Format: Birth certificates issued by officials of the Government of Ukraine are accepted. They bear a wet seal and a signature of the executive officer of the issuing authority. Issuing Authority Personnel Title: Department Head of the State Registration of Civil Status Office Registration Criteria: Defined by Family Code of Ukraine Procedure for Obtaining: The applicant must request birth certificates from one of two locations: 1) district DRATsS (Civil Registry Office of the Department of Justice) either at the place of residence or at the place where the registration of document took place; 2) Ukrainian Consulate or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (for residents of other countries). Certified Copies: Certified copies are not available. Alternate Documents: There are no alternate documents. Exceptions: There are no exceptions. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Ukraine.html
  12. I-130 - You must submit two identical color passport-style photographs of yourself and your spouse (if he or she is in the United States) taken within 30 days of filing this petition. I-485 - You must submit two identical color passport-style photographs of the applicant (Foreign Spouse) I-765 - You must submit two identical color passport-style photographs of the applicant (Foreign Spouse)
  13. Here is the tracking site for CEAC https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx
  14. You mistyped something on the online portal appointment application or on the DS-160? If it was on the portal, what did you mistype?
  15. That means someone is touching the casefile. Hopefully to do the final processing to issue the visa! Sending good vibes to you both!
  16. I don't know how strict your embassy is with the I-134 but when Jaycel went for her interview, she went with the form completed and signed by me, my most recent tax transcript, a letter from my employer and the most recent 3 months of pay stubs. The Consular Officers have a wide latitude in what they can ask for and I didn't want her to be lacking anything. Best of luck and let us know how it goes!
  17. This paragraph of the RFE is the key.... It looks like either the RFE was filled out using the wrong "Basis for Filing Affidavit of Support" in part 1 OR you only included a joint sponsor because it is saying you submitted an I-864 but it was not from the petitioning sponsor. Who was the person named in the I-864? What selection did you make in "Part 1. Basis for Filing Affidavit of Support" ?
  18. Congrats!! 🎉 Can you tell us what the I-751 interview experience was like?
  19. In about 3 weeks I would start sending inquiries via their public inquiry page (link below) to request your case number. There is a function on the form to attach documents where you should attach a scanned copy of the I-129F approval notice. Take the opportunity of the inquiry to make sure they have both the petitioner and beneficiary's email addresses. I would word the inquiry something like: Hello NVC, My Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) (I-129F) was approved on XX/XX/2025 and USCIS has notified me that my case has been sent to you. I would like to request that you provide me my case number if it is available. I would also like to make sure you have the petitioner and beneficiary emails updated in your system as follows: Petitioner: email@email.com Beneficiary: email@email.com I have attached the approval notice for my form I-129F for your review. Thank you, Angie A. If they don't have your case number available on the first inquiry, you can send a new request every 10 days. Once they create your case and provide you the case number, usually within a couple of weeks you will get an email from them with a K1-FTP letter attached which indicates that they have sent your case to the embassy. Once they provide you the case number, you can start tracking it on the CEAC Case Tracker site (Link Below) NVC Public Inquiry site: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html CEAC Case Tracker site: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx Keep the community here advised of your progress!

  21. Passport is a "Real ID" no matter the status of the I-94. I would carry a copy of the NOA1 in case he is questioned about his immigration status
  22. This is not required for the embassy interview, however some CFO counselors are requiring an FBI Records search results on the petitioner for the CFO Guidance and Counseling Program requirement. I have read 3 or 4 accounts in the last 6 months saying the counselor asked for it.
