  1. Jaycel's took a week between "Approval" and "Card Produced"
  2. Today's stats: June 20, 2025 23:15 MDT November 2024 Filed I-485 Stats • Approved: 12,307 (+335) • Denied: 1374 • FingerprintScheduled: 68 • InterviewCancelled: 564 • InterviewScheduled: 8,100(-226) • Processing: 18,489 (-133) • Received: 532 • Rejected: 101 • RFE: 439 • Terminated: 203 • Withdrawal: 61 • Others: 28
  3. That's what I've heard but I have not seen any reports to confirm it
  4. Yes, it is possible to obtain a marriage license in Pennsylvania even if one of the parties does not have a Social Security number (SSN). In such cases, the applicant without an SSN is typically required to present a passport or another form of official photo identification as an alternative. Here's a more detailed explanation: SSN Requirement: Pennsylvania law requires applicants to provide their SSN if they have one. Alternative for Non-SSN Holders: If an applicant does not have an SSN, they can provide a passport or another form of valid photo identification instead. Required Documents: Generally, both individuals need to appear in person at the Marriage License Bureau with valid photo identification and, if applicable, a divorce decree or other relevant documents. Application Process: The couple will complete an application form, provide necessary information, and pay the required fee. License Issuance: Once the application is processed and approved, the marriage license will be issued.
  5. In Colorado, they ask for the last 4 digits from both parties but if one doesn't have one, you just fill out a form stating why and it's no issue.
  6. Like @MalloryCat said, they return nothing from your yellow packet to you. Jaycel was able to get her DL here without a SSN but she was required to have the EAD to get it. When they issued it, it was NOT a "Real ID" compliant license. Once she gets her green card she will have to present that and her SSN to the DMV so they can give her the "Real ID" license. Those are the rules here in CO, I'm not sure of PA.
  7. When we got Jaycel's SSN right after we arrived, we brought her I-94, her passport with the stamped K-1 visa in it and her birth certificate and that was enough for them to issue the SSN (BTW you do not get the I-94 at the Port of Entry) you go in the website a couple of days after arrival and download it)
  8. Today's stats: June 19, 2025 23:15 MDT November 2024 Filed I-485 Stats • Approved: 11,972 (+315) • Denied: 1365 • FingerprintScheduled: 69 • InterviewCancelled: 537 • InterviewScheduled: 8,336 (-191) • Processing: 18,622 (-135) • Received: 534 • Rejected: 102 • RFE: 442 • Terminated: 203 • Withdrawal: 57 • Others: 28
  9. You will have to make an appointment and go to the local SSA office to get your SS Card. They have suspended the EBE (Enumeration Beyond Entry) program that allowed USCIS to trigger SSA to issue it automatically. Wait until you have your EAD in hand as you will need it for the appointment. They suspended this program for all I-765 and N-400 applications it appears.
  10. Depending how long they have had their LPR status, this may have already constituted abandonment of that status. CBP takes very seriously (no matter what administration is currently in charge) living almost entirely outside the US when you are a LPR.
  11. Yes, it appears that they stopped automatically issuing a SSN for anyone who got their EAD approved. They also stopped doing it for N-400 approved applicants as well
  12. I tried that in Manila and they said it is not something they do beforehand and will be done by the CO at the interview if necessary
  13. This happens quite often and there is no action needed on your part aside from bringing updated letters of intent to marry from you and your fiancee to the interview. If the NOA2 is expired at the time the interview takes place, the consular officer conducting the interview will extend the validity of the notice there at the time. Nothing to worry about. Good luck on the interview!
  14. Happy to be among the "nuts" also Great writeup and thanks for sharing the experience
  15. 16. Congratulations!! 🎉🎉 Thank you for sharing with everyone!
  17. Ours was 265 days from receipt until approval and with the I-129F there will be no updates on the case status after receipt until either an RFE, a denial or approval. I know it's hard but in the end, know that it is worth it! Hoping for an approval for you soon!
  18. If you were married before and either divorced or spouse is deceased, certified / official court copies of divorce decree or certified death certificate are required by the consulate for the interview
  19. Congrats!!! 🎉🎉 That's fantastic news! What Field Office did your interview?

  21. So we went to Jaycel's initial appointment at the civil surgeon we found here that has good reviews and they are going to do just the vaccine assessment for us. Once I explained that she had her immigrant medical exam overseas and that the clinic screwed up and didn't have the new guidance on Polio vaccines they said no problem, took her vaccine history and will have the doctor just fill out parts 1-5, 7 & 10 as per that exemption on page 1 of the form. They only charged us $50. If anyone needs an honest Civil Surgeon in the Denver Metro area, go to Centennial Medical Center. They are super helpful, honest and accommodating! They got us an appointment the day after I called them.
  22. You do not have to submit it anywhere but he has to sign it in ink and then scan it and email it to you along with all the supporting documents (tax return transcripts, pay stubs, etc.)
  23. That is a bit odd but I have seen reports where, if they think there is enough evidence of a bona fide marriage, they will just bring in the immigrant spouse for the I-485 yes/no questions. Let us know what happens!
