  1. We want to make sure we upload everything correctly on the NVC stage preparing documents and wondering if any of them (marriage license, police records, death certificate of 1st spouse, etc) must have an apostille? Thanks for the replies. Can't find the information on embassy or Uscis websites
  2. Do I need the physical copy of my Birth Certificate or it can be the digital PDF version of it? And does it need to be apostilled and legalized? We're on the NVC stage for CR1 visa, preparing documents to upload.
  3. Even without insulin intake a diabetic can have sudden hypoglycemia. Food is mandatory and the CGM sensor is vital and can not remove it.
  4. I'm CR1 Beneficiary. I was wondering if there's any diabetic or hypoglycemic (who must carry glucose or snacks all times in order to avoid low blood sugar), as I read the Medical examination and interview time and the embassy can take hours, Are we allowed to bring glucose or snacks and also bring a CGM (Continuous glucose Monitor) inserted in the arm? Or it would be an issue that could affect my medical examination? I'm sure there are many diabetics on a CR1 visa process and we all know that when we crash we must eat -ingest glucose or we can pass out. No one should ever leave low blood sugar unattended.
  5. That's so wrong. Imagine a married couple in their senior citizen age with health limitations naturally due age. They can't apply for a CR1 and get approved?? 🥺 or a U.S. citizen marrying a stroke survivor from abroad
  6. Oh Ok. I would prefer to have this fundraiser one separated but I guess. Some replies from some members on old topic were not too kind
  7. So I guess every person with health limitations or chronic illnesses are being questioned about public charge?? 😳
  8. My husband works in an Airline so travelling is not an issue. No dentist wants to treat me abroad and we can only go to local surgeon in my husband's town covered by insurance. Mayo Clinic is not covered. Plus I can not travel multiple times because other chronic illnesses. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.
  9. Would a fundraiser for medical and travel affect a CR1 visa approval? It shows some pics of beneficiary and child (U.S. citizen) living abroad in hard conditions and it says we want to reuinte to be finally together as a family and have the treatment in the U.S. (dental surgery and other treatments for my wife and son) Because the specific treatments they need are mot available abroad. Please do not say they are. We got denied and we got the word of many doctors telling us that. So the storyline talks about beneficiary's multiple chronic illnesses too. (I can afford basic needs and household but not the huge surgery bill and travel.) The problem is ny wife is living in a extremely unhealthy conditions in a house that should be condenmed, with our 3 year old son abroad sharing the roof emotionally abusive and mentally ill relatives, and I can't save up so quick to take them out of that situation. And I can't afford my rent in the U.S. and abroad. Like most Americans can't. We have no friends I just moved to the West Cost and my relatives estranged me when I re-married. My income qualifies for me to sponsor her but we are not rich. Would showing all those things affect our case approval? Please be kind. We have enough stress from all we're going through and we are in our middle 50s and 40s with delicate health.
