Hi there, Just wanted to let you know that I am at the NBC as well. I was able to view everything online as soon as I received the Biometrics letter....

Yes, they hold these one at NBC for those needing interviews, there is a slight chance that they will transfer only the I 485 to your local office for additional processing and the interview.

All EAD's & AP's are processed at the NBC (MSC) however.

I guess it does. We probably have extra steps to go through. I just want the EAD so I can work again, the interview can take as long as it likes.

That was a big discussion I had with my girlfriends.

My parents didn't give me a middle name (plus I have a french hard to pronounce maiden name) so I used my maiden as middle and added his.

I originally had my Biometrics date on 5/28, I wonder if getting the Bio done early has messed things up. I'm sure its fine. I am just a worry wort.

I am in the same boat...no news whatsoever.

I think every office government or not gets lazy on Holiday weekends.

Lets hope it speeds up next week.....

I have still had nothing, no touches, no soft touches, no emails...Nothing. Trying not to be to discouraged, I know others have waited longer.

Hawaii is a US State, you need anything you would need (ID wise) to go to any other state in the USA.

I went for my Honeymoon went to 2 of the islands.

My Husband lived in Puerto Rico for 2 years as a USC, I went w/o anything but what I went to any other state with and had no problems.

Puerto Rico unbeknowst to most is pratically considered another state as far as US travel goes. HOWEVER, any of the Virgin Islands will require a passport and immigration check...

I have a friend in HR and unless it is a Federal or State job, yes this is considered discrimination!! Especially on the phone, they are only allowed to bring this issue up once you have filled out the employment forms and if your SSN or Work Visa does not check out (then that is grounds for firing)

That is what I though. but I have not cleared my history or deleted cookies, or deleted history. And sometimes it happens even without me turning my comp off and on.

I have a question, I have not received any emails saying I was "touched", however a couple time the color of my application numbers have gone back to blue (after I have already clicked on them once that day, they turn purple) Does this mean I have had "soft touch"?

I found this on the USCIS instructions:

"Interim EAD. If you have not received a decision within

90 days of receipt by USCIS of a properly filed EAD

application or within 30 days of a properly filed initial EAD

application based on an asylum application filed on or after

January 4, 1995, you may obtain interim work authorization

by appearing in person at your local USCIS District Office.

You must bring proof of identity and any notices that you have

received from USCIS in connection with your application for

employment authorization."

I am only at 60 days, but I was curious if anyone has actually done this? And if so how did it go? Were you approved on the spot?

Nothing yet, yeah we are probably not going to get quite the same movement as others because our cases will not be transferred.

I mean we should be in the same timeline as far as EAD/AP goes, however the actual 485 and 130 will take longer I think based on the processing times. But you never know....

There are some on here who have never had a touch and just received thier EAD's and AP's, So I have my hopes up. Although I run out to the PO box as soon as the mailman comes every day like a child waiting for thier Christmas present.
