I suggested a petition, but that seems to not have worked before! Not sure if contacting the Embassy in Ottawa, or Department of State would yield anything. They mention MTL is the only post with trained staff on IVs, I was hoping to push them to provide more resources even perhaps in other posts to reduce the backlog.

1- Where did you get these stats from? 2- Unrelated to this, did anyone figure out why the Consular Operations Updates went back to Jan 2021 instead of Apr 2022?

That seems to be exactly th case. I wonder if it's worth trying to launch a petition to ask USCIS / Department of State to add resources to Montreal or another Consulate General in Canada to assist with the backlog? Not sure if they care though.

I wouldn't imagine it has anything to do with Canada. This is a US operation, happens to be in Canada.

And: NVC schedules appointments with the consulate in the order they DQ cases. Let's say your priority date is 1 month after me, and we're both current. If you send your documents but I take longer to send them, who should be scheduled first? It would be you.

Can anyone post a sample of a recent Interview Letter? My question is what is in it? Does NVC specify the date and time of the appointment that they have booked for you with the consulate? And how far in the future do they book the interviews? I see the average time it took for ILs to go out after DQ is around 55 days and the average interview date after DQ is around 600 days. Does this mean that your Interview Letter points to your interview date in almost 1.5 years from the time you receive your IL? What did your IL say in terms of the date they booked your appointment? I am trying to find out when I would be able to know my interview date. Thanks!

What did you do the first time, when you registered for the first appointment? It should not be different than that.

Just noticed the same thing! It should be a copy and paste error, how could they go back from April 2022 to January 2021?? Honestly, this shows you cannot trust what goes in those updates that much!

Can the admin please give me access to the EB spreadsheet? For some reason I have access to the other spreadsheets for other categories, but not to the EB one which is relevant to my case. Thanks!

Joining this list of folks who are waiting for Montreal! I just mailed my documents to NVC. How long should I expect f To get DQ'd? And yes, I know after getting DQ'd I should waaaaiiittt for interview.

Hi all, I will need to MAIL my civil documents to NVC. I have translated my civil documents (e.g., marriage certificate and birth certificate). Do I need to MAIL the original stamped translation pages, or can I send photo copies of the translated pages? I only have one set of translations. Please reply if you know the answer / have done either way, no speculations. Thanks!
